Can hardly believe we are starting our third month of the new year.
I heard the Spring song from the birds this morning as I went to the mailbox. It is to be 70 today. When I come back to the house I noticed more daffodils are up and there re two getting ready to open their buds already! Love this time of year when everything is growing and bringing forth new life.
Speaking of new life. I thought the young couple who are next door had their baby on Saturday when she was due but they said if she didn't go on her own they scheduled a c-section for Tuesday. I saw them yesterday morning getting into the car and the car has not returned so I think she must have had the baby(a girl) yesterday. They are naming her Evelyn and calling her Evie.
Busy day today. Hope you all have a wonderful day to start off March!

Denise it sounds like your day is starting good. It is clear now and very cold and I guess we had some snow last night but I missed seeing it.
It’s supposed to clear up a little for a few days. Not necessarily warm though.
The ocean is rough! I can hear the surf.
I live about 10 miles from it.
Well everyone have a wonderful day! Stay warm and safe!
Love you all!

Denise I can't believe it's 70 in Ohio today! Wow! Here in the Sierra Foothills of California we are finally getting a break from 7 days of snow and rain! It's SO wonderful to see the sun! It's chilly outside, 34* but warming quick. My chickens and dogs are loving soaking the sun in and I plan to dig the car out this morning and make a little outing into town to get out of the house. It's been tough with work as they've closed our county building downtown 4.5 days during this storm and me being a part time relief employee I don't get any pay for those missed days. Budget is tight and praying for sun and for the snow days to be over. It's so good to know that spring is a coming!!! yay!

It is 72 here in Texas today, and in the 40s tonight.

Daffodils are blooming already and trees are all budding out. I hope the cold weather coming again doesn't kill all the buds. I'd love to get a lot of pears this year. Last year they were not good.

It is 80 here again today but not humid and a bit breezy. March has definitely come in as a lamb, so I wonder if it will go out as a lion? More often than not, that really seems to be the weather pattern! Jenn, I am glad your weather is finally clearing up and life can return to normal and work will resume.

I sure wish Daffodils bloomed down here. I miss them and Forsythia because they were the first big display of Spring beauty!

Well, the warmth was short lived . Back in the 50s today so not bad. But by the end of next week we are looking at snow again! I never dreamed Ohio would be so wishy washy with the weather.

Isn't that so frustrating when Mother Nature teases us with fickle weather? We tend to get into a mindset about the seasons only to have that turned upside down the next day! That happens to me quite often in the Fall months when everyone seems to be having some much appreciated changes from the summer heat, and we just continue on down here like it is still July!! LOL!!

I found I have crocus come up but something is nipping off the flowers.
Daffodils are in bloom now too!

I love Crocus blooms! They are close to the first to show up despite cold and sometimes snowy weather. Such brave and hardy flowers!

Hi ladies. All this talk of crocuses has me jealous. It will be several weeks before we see bare ground, let alone crocuses. We have gotten well over 100 inches of snow this winter and it is piled up everywhere. Glad some of you are seeing spring.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Mine will be gone before Easter this year I think. I wish we knew what nipped off our crocus buds.

I guess our daffodils made it through the snows. Yesterday we had snow but only light stuff. It did accumulate a dusting but the wind was the worst. There is a lot of wind often here, except in the summer when we could use a bit of a breeze. LOL

Because our spring weather has been around for a few weeks now, I have had that annual spring clean fever and de-cluttering bug. There is something about being able to open windows and wear lighter clothing that inspires me to double check my closets and especially my stashes of stuff to see if there might be some changes made. Late last week, I took a sack of books I had read to the Friends of the Library and a medium box of stuff to the thrift store. Like many, I tend to keep clothing way past when I have even worn it. And I am getting tougher on myself to send it on since it is still in great shape and might be just what someone else could use.

How about any of you? Do you get that urge to clean up and declutter when Spring arrives?

Oh yes I do. I am always ready to deep clean and downsize. I'm not sure what it is about spring that brings that on but there is something.

I would like to go over to the beach for a day once it gets less windy. Spring always has very windy patterns on the beaches up here making them cold to be on because the water is still quite chilly.

This year, I purchased the old fashioned Paas egg dying kit for fun. It is very basic like they were when I was young. Usually I dye about a half dozen and use food coloring . But this year, I decided to do it with the old fashioned dye kit. We always dyed eggs growing up and had an egg hunt after Easter lunch following church. There was always one egg that we could not find!! LOL!!
