Does anyone else do a lot of baking for Christmas? I've been sick the last week and a half so I'm behind this year, but the first cookies were made today - chocolate chip with red and green m&m's.

I’m sorry that you’re still sick!!!! No fun, especially this time of year:(
I used to do a LOT of baking and gave a lot away. Now I’m just making 3 or 4 things that are our favorites. If it’s in the house, it just screams, “ Eat me!”
I was just sitting here thinking that I have done no baking and no decorating yet, except for the front porch. I think that’s tomorrow’s project!
We finally bit the bullet and got an artificial tree this year. It was finally delivered today. I never thought Brad would agree to one but it was actually his idea after seeing it at Home Depot last weekend. I’ll have to get a picture when it’s finished.
Your cookies sound like the bomb!

I love to bake especially for the holidays. But, I am like you Debbie…I will eat it all. Hubby helps but I have a huge sweet tooth. I make fudge every year and will usually do some kind of cookie or two. :)

Oh, fudge is the best! My grandma used to make several different kinds. Have you ever tried the fudge at the Country Mercantile north of you?

Fudge does sound good - my sister and I are thinking of trying some this year.

We bake a lot here. We have continued to bake our family recipes each year - we do a Swedish smorgasbord every Christmas eve so we make saffron rolls to go with dinner. Our cookies include Spritz, Pepparkakor, Jelly Cookies, Hermits and Bourbon Balls. We've added Whoopie Cookies for my son and Chewy Chocolate Gingerbread for my daughter. Last year my son-in-law shared his family's German Christmas Cookies.

I used to make the Pioneer Woman's Cinnamon Rolls as work gifts but I haven't done that in a while. I totally agree - if it's in the house, I will enjoy too much so it's better if I can gift a lot of it.

Happy Baking!
