I was hoping that we have enough henhouse farmgirls who would be interested in an Angel swap. These angels would be made from a mens upcycled necktie, and can involve very little sewing.

I am going through a collection of ties I have leftover from a Bow Tie Quilt I made years ago. If you need a tie, I have a few I can send.
Sign-ups through noon 11/24 (Thanksgiving Day)
Partners sent 11/24 or 25
Send out by Saturday, 12/15
I hope you will join in. This is an angel that does not only have to be for Christmas.

Glad you are joining, Karen. It is new to me, too. I have made a "rose" out of a tie as a pin and a bow-tie quilt that was sold as an auction item for a club I was in - it made $300 I think with ties from the Mayor and other city officials.

I need to pull out my neckties and start making an angel. I have a week before we leave for our 2-week cruise and need to start making an angel and some fabric postcards so they are almost ready when we get back. LOL! |

I love my Men’s tie angel!! She carries a pearl “chain” with a dangle that says Blessed. She added 2 crocheted peppermint candies and some cookies and candy - 2 little tarts, 2 Torrone bars, and a Lindt Lindor chocolate and caramel bar.
I hope everyone enjoyed this new-to-me craft. Thanks again for swapping! Your angel will be mailed tomorrow.
EDITED: BTW We loved the Torrone bars. Unfortunately, the sticky paper on them is just because it is a nougat and they get sticky. I think the paper keeps the outside packaging from sticking to them. LOL! |

Linda your package arrived and I love everything! The angel is beautiful. The dish scrubby and washcloth you made are so cute. The bowl holder will probably be used more for ice cream than the microwave :) The salt & pepper shakers are adorable! I'm enjoying the candies too.
