Definitely, Sherry! They are saying almost 3 days of POSSIBLE rain next week. I may just go outside and stand in it if it does rain. LOL!

Oh, to have a cozy day!! We had a surprise invitation to go over to a friend's beach house for the weekend. So, I am behind in all my fall decorating but hope to get it up this week. The beach was lovely but the water was way too warm. I have never been to the Atlantic and gotten in the water when there was not a chill that you had to just get over and fully get wet. Amazing and scary because this hot water is what fuels these hurricanes into dangerous level storms.

Back to fall, I am looking forward to when I can go back out on my porch and enjoy some nicer weather. Fall is one of my favorite times to be outside and read. It is looking like that might be awhile for us down here.

Hip Hip Hooray? Cooler temps are starting to arrive in Texas. I guess Mother Nature finally got all our requests. I hope we get the rain they are promising (?) for this week. Our yard and plants are hoping.

I have been ready for any cool breeze that can make its way down here soon! Forget the fall leaves because we won't see any of those until very late December and mostly in December.

It was 40 degrees when I got done exercising this morning. Loving these cooler mornings.

Ed and I have started walking again since the weather has gotten cooler, but it is supposed to get up in the 90s again for awhile. UGH!

Linda, you aren't the only one going UGH!!! We just can't seem to get out of the weather pattern and we are all so tired of the heat and humidity. Denise, I sure do envy those mornings in the 40s. I can' even imagine how that would feel anymore. Our 10 day forecast isn't looking too great so I am guessing we will close out the month pretty much like we opened it up.

Written by a friend.

“Somehow I must move ahead
Cast aside this fear and dread
Toss these doubts out of my head
As down this road I go

Out into the great unknown
Childlike even though I’m grown
Like a bird from cage is flown
As down this road I go

Unsure what lies beyond the bend
Can’t see if there is foe or friend
Yet pressing till I reach the end
As down this road I go

Seeking what I still may lack
There will be no turning back
This journey is a one way track
As down this road I go”

I love the gnomes - all holidays. LOL!

So cute!

I'm not doing too much Fall and Christmas decorating this year. Since we will be gone from Thanksgiving until mid December I would just have to come home and take down decorations and put up Christmas for 2 weeks. Bummer! I love both Fall and Christmas decorations.

Mansion or cottage,
wood, brick, or stone,
it matters not ever
the size of the home....
The love that lives there,
the kindnesses shown,
these are the blessings that
make it your own.
