We are having some warmer but cloudy, rainy days. I was hoping our first Christmas here would be a white one but i dont know. Seems we may end up with just a slightly chilly one. I love snow!

We had a bit of rain yesterday, no sun. This morning at 5:30 am it is 39 degrees. Not too bad.

I don't know if Denise agrees but you keep your above freezing temps for a little bit longer Debbie LOL! I'm enjoying the snow I've been waiting so long for :) Looks like it's going to start melting on Wed. though.

I'm with you Heather. Feels like we waited so long for winter to kick in and I'm not ready to give it up yet.

They've plowed our main roads and there's been alot of people coming and going here so our area is not plowed but packed from so many cars. It was beautiful today even with the cold temps. The grandkids got to go sledding this afternoon.

Well our snow is slowly melting. It seems everyone here wants it to leave. I am happy to have it!

It was 70+ degrees today…it smelled like damp ground and spring. It was a beautiful day but just so strange. I’m praying winter makes a comeback with a vengeance!

I think your spring weather is invading Ohio - at least for a little bit. It's SUPER windy right now but it's warm enough to melt the snow. It's in the low 50's but the wind is cold! It's going to start raining tonight and continue tomorrow. They're projecting up to 2 inches of rain - on top of the melting snow and frozen ground. We're going to have flooding. The high tomorrow in the morning is 53 then the temp drops all day and tomorrow night it's supposed to be "blustery with the rain changing to freezing rain, sleet, and snow" and the low temp is 15. It's going to be messy for sure!!!! I think we stay below freezing for the rest of the week then. How is it out west?

Same here as Heather shared. Not feeling my best tonight. Sinus stuff. I am going to make myself feel better with tea and a slice of banana bread later.

Oh Debbie, you'd better take care. A nice soak in the tub might help.

Oh my! I'm going to stop checking in if everyone keeps getting hurt LOL! I agree with Denise - add some Epsom salt to the bath while you enjoy your wine. I guess I have a bit of an ailment as well only mine doesn't hurt. In fact it's the complete opposite. I went to the dentist to have a filling last week and my lip and chin are still numb. The dentist said it's rare but it does happen (I wanted to say "obviously" but kept my mouth shut). He told me it could be a couple weeks or a couple months before it returns to normal. Then he told me one of his patients had a numb tongue for a year!!!! Mine only bothers me when I yawn or touch it. When I yawn it feels all big and fat. When I touch it it feels like when your foot is asleep and you try to walk on it. Weird but not terrible.

I hope everyone feels better quickly!

How is everyone feeling today? It's rained a lot this morning then stopped for a while but now it's back to raining. I had to go out to milk the cows of course, but other than the chores I've been hunkering down in the sewing room (aka the livingroom LOL!) and enjoying a day of getting things finished! Just took a quick break to make some cookies then I have one more thing to make for Denise since I have so much feed sack fabric.

Please don't ever do this...Monday morning my hubby dropped me off at our new Hobby Lobby as he was on his way to exercise. I got a shopping cart, and put my cane in it and off I went to look at the pretties. About 30 minutes later, I saw some pretty tissue paper, and some smallish gift bags in the same color family...then I saw more bags in springy soft colors. But in order to get the tissue paper I had to step back two steps. You know what ? That tissue paper is still at the store

Because I fell and fell and fell to the cement floor. My shopping cart rolled over me and back again. I heard my back pop as down I went. A frail elderly man with his wife heard me fall. He went for help. And she stayed with me. Quickly the elderly man was back and just as quickly two young people, that I called angels were also there. In like 15 seconds I was standing up, hands on my cart. Now there were more than a question or two for me...but I could not give them an answer for what caused my fall.??? Nothing was broken but my whole body was sore...still is. So go and enjoy the pretties of spring ...just don't fall downime me.

Debbie, that picture is hilarious! I can so relate!
I hope you're feeling a little better....I bet you are stiff and sore, though...
Denise, hope the tea and banana bread did the trick!
Marilyn! I wouldn't feel like venturing out, either. I hope that you didn't have to wait for your husband long to come and rescue you! Please take care of yourself!
Heather....I'm pretty sure that I have helped my dentist to retire early....I have stayed numb for several hours before, maybe until the next day. I've also had a nerve get irritated with the novacaine and had weird, stabbing pains across the roof of my mouth for a week. I was told it was a 2/100 chance of happening. Of course I would be one of the 2. I hope that you get your feeling back soon. That would be weird! At least it's fixed and nothing is wrong!

Heather, it's still in the 50s but with a cold wind. I have been praying for a 3 day blizzard this weekend! My mom said that I should be careful for what I ask for. I said, you know, you're right! I'll ask for a week of snow! "My" weather says we have a chance of snow on my birthday and Monday!!! It would make my day!!!

I do not know which Weather you all watch. I've used Weather Bug for 18 years. When I was the Day Care Director it best served the needs of the pre school and day care. It was a new weather service, too.
Boy did they miss their forecast today!!!
We were to have sunshine, like yesterday!
And feel some warmth too.
Just like yesterday.
But at 2pm it was 35°, it was expected by 9pm. Not in early afternoon.
My DinL just told me we would be in 5he lower 20s overnight!

Marilyn - sorry to hear about your fall. Glad nothing was seriously injured! I didn't realize TX got so cold. I look up the weather at weather.gov It's usually pretty accurate and it'll give you all the warnings if there are any.

Debbie - I hope you have snow for your birthday!! I LOVE it when it snows on my birthday (the end of Nov). It's the best birthday gift :)

Everything is covered in ice and the wind is blowing like crazy! I'm hoping we don't loose power. It's 28 with a wind chill of 13 right now. We're supposed to get down to 14 so it's hard telling what the windchill will be then. I love the snow but not this ice.

Well it was in the 50s today but windy and raining. I just looked out at this late hour and it is snowing. I don't think we will get much and I hope there is not ice under the snow.

Marilyn, I'm glad you didn't get hurt but I would take it easy if I were you.
