Yes Denise I do understand what you mean, I lived in Colorado 27 years, I miss the mountains and all there but love the beautiful area I am at now with the Redwoods, lots of difference in altitudes but is beautiful!
I don’t miss the snow though!

| Denise, your view of the Adirondacks where you grew up reminds me of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Fall. There are many large creeks and rivers tumbling down the mountains that look just like this photo. I miss these scenes terribly! To me, the Blue Ridge Mountains are home and always beautiful! |

| Winnie, that is how I feel about the Adirondack. When we lived in Virginia we enjoyed taking a trip on Skyline Drive it was so gorgeous in the fall. I know the Blue Ridge Mts. were further west. Virginia is where our son was born and I always loved it there. Always wanted to move back but it wasn't to be. |

Denise, I am loving these wonderful fall themed photos you are finding and sharing!! How about that kitchen!! I like the way she used the fabric to cover below the sink, which looks like a bathtub compared to my sink!! LOL!!! I also wish the photo included more of that neat old yellow stool or ladder with the enamelware bucket on top. And that baby kitten on the little orange pumpkin is absolutely precious!!
I agree that fewer people are stopping by the past weeks and I am guessing everyone is busy with so many other life needs and projects. I am happy when Farmgirls can stop by and share and I hope some will have more time soon. Fall is such a wonderful time to enjoy the changes from long hot summers!!
Heheh, I am working on my second bag of candy corn pumpkins!! I also found some little mini boxes of raisins that I put on my desk beside the candy to remind me that I always have a choice for something healthier!! However, the candy jar seems to be going down faster than the little raisin boxes!!!LOL!!! It remains very hot in the afternoon and last week it was humid and showers just like Summer. The only Fall around here is in my house and on my back porch!! LOL!!
Here is a fall musing from a past issue of A Simple Life magazine. I love it because it reminds me of an old log cabin where life is obviously quite simple for this dweller.

Denise, thank you for the autumn pictures.
I love this time of the year. This has been the most autumn feeling year, since my son was little bitty.we are having three very cloudy days with some rains mixed in, best of all the Temps 50s at night (although two nights we are expecting the mid 40s. Day time in the lower 70s.
If I were younger I might be planning a trip to Canton, with a friend.
If you aren't familiar with Canton...it is the bestest flea market anywhere. It is 3 and 1/2 hours away, in East Texas. |

Yes it is a beautiful big kitchen! My kitchen is starting come together. We have the lower cabinets in and we are hoping to get the upper cabinets in on Thursday. JT's next day off. I am loving the white we chose. It is sort of a vanilla color. We are using satin nickel hardware. I will post pictures when it is finished. Still don't know the size of the countertop yet so can't order that yet. |
