Thank you Carole. It is time to get on with the next chapter. I'm not one for change. Just don't do well with it but it is what it is and honestly I never thought I'd miss NJ. I don't really it's just the familiar place I miss. We were there close to 30 years.
I am so enjoying being near the grandchildren and they seem very happy we are nearby. I just melt when they come to me and say "I love you, Mimi" Right now there is nothing better in my world than that!
I need to remember that "hanging onto my peace". We will make this place our own and things will fall into place.

One good thing I'm thankful for is that JT got a job. He still has others contacting him so I do hope he works doing what he loves. Not sure if he loves this job yet. We shall see.
Here's a picture of one of my loves on her birthday.

Cute picture -- that's a big cake for a little girl. Denise -- at least you are out of the hurricane zone. Not sure about tornadoes....

Denise, your granddaughter's photo is so sweet! What a cutie pie on her special day.

Carole, I would guess there are some changes up your way and how welcomed they must be! Denise, I do understand that sense of homesickness even though you adore being close to your family in Ohio. I think it is impossible to not miss a place you called home for 30 years. It takes time to build up new memories and find all those places you feel are special and homey.

Connie, I do like that photo you found of the Maple leaves! It always amazes me each year how every leaf on a tree turns color just a bit different from the other. A tip of green here and a spot of orange there. Beautiful!!! I have hopes for my new Florida Red Maple this year. It was my Christmas present and the tree has grown very well over the summer in both height and width. This will be it's first Fall season and the established trees in this area can get gorgeous, but it just won't happen until December into January. I don't know what a baby tree will do so I will keep the HenHouse posted. The little Darlin'!!

Good morning,

Beautiful day! After my latte I will be heading out to the the farmer's market. I enjoy seeing what the farmers bring. At the market, there is a farm, The Fledging Crow, that is based in Keeseville that I love to support. They grow organic. Love to support them.

Afterwards, I am tempted to spend the day in my kitchen. I really should be quilting. We have our Sew we Gather group meet on Sunday and I have nothing to show. I do need to bring a bread. That could be my show and tell LOL

Our local apple orchard store is officially open for the season. We have quite a few apple orchards around here growing a variety of apples. I will make it a point to stop and see what apples are available.

Hope you are enjoying a wonderful day! Cheers!

We have rain today! Praise God, it is needed, now if it would rain on the fires.
It is supposed to last the weekend.
Have a good day!

We have clouds but unfortunately no rain. We did have some awesome thunder and lightening last week. It gave me hope.

I'm so happy for your rain Darlene.
We are so dry. I am Praying for rain on my baby apple trees and the New roses as well as the crepe myrtle. Every thing is thirsty!
I was looking at the 10 day forecast. Looks like we have two hot days followed by 8 days in the mid 80's. Best of all the nite time Temps will be in the 50's. Yippie! Praises to God.

I can hardly believe September is over halfway through.3 days till the first full day of fall. Today is supposed to reached 88. Then Fall will be entering with rain, storms and in the 50s. Well, the first two days anyway. Then we get back to the 70s. I hope today is the last real warm day.

Well today is 18, October, 2021. We are in the midst of autumn here in north central Texas, for sure! It was 44° this morning at 8:30am. Our high today...73° ??? I think it is amazing and I have been praising God! Not since 1964 when my baby was brand new, have we had such an awesome autumn!
We are usually having an Indian summer, with hot temps. This is delightful.

We had rain yesterday, it came down pretty hard here. I hope it helped with the fires. Fall here usually is more like summer. It used to be kind of foggy here in the summer because of the heat inland, and then about Septit got really nice here and cooler inland. It’s really changed. We have blue sky this morning!
Pretty have a good day everyone!

We haven't had rain yet but at least the weather has cooled down. Once again we went from 90s to 70s and pretty much skipped the 80s.
