I hope you had a good weekend and everyone stayed cool.
Hubby and I went to our first flea market since we have been here. It was a little town about 20 minutes away. We had so much fun, met some new folks, found some sweet treasures and had loaded nachos for lunch. The weather was fabulous so a great day all around.
Do y’all have any special plans for the weekend coming up? We will continue to look for a home. I know just the right one is out there somewhere, I just wish we can find it.
Y’all take care and stay cool.

Big Hugs,
Debbie

Debbie, that sounds fun and relaxing! We have a threshing bee going on this weekend put on by our Historical Society. I think Brad is helping with it. Since the temperatures are supposed to be over 100, I might stay home in the AC.
Next weekend there is a vintage barn show/sale about 40 minutes from here. It was cancelled last year and I have never been but my daughter and I are going....I can't wait! I'm so excited! I've seen some of the vendors that will be there and it looks like it will be a great time!
I sure hope that you can find your forever home soon....just when you least expect it, it will drop right into your lap :)

Debbie and Debbie,
Your weekends sound fun. The temps are supposed to nice Saturday finally. It has been hot and humid here. We are continuing to unpack and trying to get things organized. No matter how organized I was while packing it seems there are always pieces to things we can't find. We are just waiting for our forwarded mail to arrive so we can get our bills and important stuff taken care of. We've seen the grands everyday but 1 since we've been here and it was killing them not to see us that day. Lol. I have babysat the last two days so not getting a ton done. The heat tires me as well as my sciatica acting up. New washer and dryer came yesterday and since I have a large laundry room I can decorate I have been enjoying working down there.

Debbie, I sure am praying you find the home for you soon.

Denise, I was thinking that I saw on the national weather last night that you could be in for some weather this week? Hope all is well! I think it would be so fun to have a laundry room big enough to decorate :)

Oh Debbie the Vintage Barn Sale sounds like so much fun, wish I lived closer I’d hang out with you and your daughter.
Such a shame it is so hot everywhere, we are so thankful we live on the coast, the temps are always in the 70’s.
But, I will tell you I had to go to Eugene on Tuesday for a medical appointment and it was 100 degrees. Been a very long time since we had been in that kind of heat. We were so happy to get back to Coos Bay.
Stay cool this weekend and I hope you find lots of treasures at the barn sale:-)

Denise and Debbie, how wonderful to spend a little time with you each of you. I have missed all our Wildflowers.
I know how busy you are Denise but also know how much you have been looking forward to spending time with you grand kiddos. Being with family is the best!
Hopefully I will be doing the same thing soon, decorating our new home. I can not wait. We looked at 2 yesterday and are looking at one tomorrow. We are considering one we looked at yesterday. But, waiting for disclosures and answer to questions. Keep fingers crossed.
I wonder what Laura, Marilyn and Judy are up to. Hope they stop in to say hi.

Big Hugs,
Debbie

Debbie K, it keeps saying thunderstorms this week but they keep holding off. We do get a little thunder, wind and a quick shower. I love my basement, believe it or not. I have so much storage for my seasonal stuff. I will take photos as soon as I get any one room done. LOL. We are not very organized even though it started that way. But little by little.
It is great to chat with you gals.

Hello friends!
August is so hot...always.
We have had days in the upper 90s.
I'm hiding inside in the a/c.
Today, Saturday, God has blessed us!
About 30 minutes ago my hubby went to the mail box.
When he returned I thought I could hear something rare.
Sure enough it was rain. I said "thank you God for watering the crepe myrtle, the grape vines and the roses! Every August I realize they all desperately need a good drink. I am so thankful that God chose to bless us this way! He saved me from dragging that hose around the yard. With 17 crepe myrtle trees (yes they are very tall, some are taller than the oaks out there.)
So I haven't been doing much. Reading a lot! Talking to God a lot. Some folks call it praying... but because He is my bestest friend, I call it talking.
Your adventures sound like fun. I used to enjoy auctions, flea markets, etc.
My goal is to take a day trip to where I was born. Just to see what it looks like now. I have not been there since I was 3. Most of those three years I spent across the county line in a very small community. I just have a yearning to go look. Last week my hubby rode with our son to take a horse to be broken and trained. When he got home he reported that they were only 10miles from my birth town. They did not go to look. Oh well, it was too hot anyway.

Debbie F,
JT and I just wanted to thank you for the sweet card and gift card. You made us feel so special.
P.S. JT was wondering about BJ. Lol.

What did I write BJ instead of JT? Oh my goodness how embarrassing, my face is red! Please tell him I am so sorry.
I blame it on the fact that I am old, 66 years and I do things like that. I am glad you could laugh about it. LOL!
I am so glad you got it and it made you feel special, that is what I wanted.
Love you Bunches.

Debbie

Don't be embarrassed! We chuckled because we know we do the same thing. We are in the same boat with good company that's all. But it was so nice of you and we thank you! ((((Hugs))))
