I love that US puzzle, Connie. Great choices for puzzles. I like the ones with the multiple similar items like labels, bottle caps, cats, quilts, etc. LOL! I have a Coke one and a Christmas one. I also have a Christmas one that is all red and white peppermint candies and a couple green and white ones.

Connie,
That is an awesome states puzzle. I finished this one tonight. It took me two days.

Sorry about the glare from the light. It is 1000 piece. I took the last one apart and put it away. Will leave this one up until I get the next one done.
My problem is I can sit and just do puzzles but that is not good for my neck and back. I also wouldn't get any housework done. Lol.

Hurts our backs, too, sometimes - especially if we sit there too long at one time.

The one we are doing now is half done - and the last half is ALL GREEN TREES with snow on branches. very hard and have to find pieces by shape more than color since most are the same.

I love puzzles too! But recently I do free ones on-line. The pieces are already put out for you...just put it together. I can do them in a short time and then do something else. Doesn't take a table or anything. I'm hooked.

My puzzles came from Bits and Pieces. They sent me a free one for ordering one. I actually order four and one of them has four puzzles in it so I ended up with 8. The four in the set are 500 hundred piece though.

Denise, your recent puzzles are gorgeous! I love the folk art style and all the colors.

I never knew that such beautiful and interesting puzzles are out there. It is simply a hobby that I haven’t ever really explored. Looks like I have missed out on lots of fun and lovely puzzles to work on. One problem is that I don’t have a space or table I could set up and just leave up to work on a puzzle. Hubby has no interest so I would want to put a place up that s out of the way. What I need to do is expand the LogCabin!! But that is really not possible as it is just a bedroom and not structurally amenable to some sort of expansion. Right now, I have all I can fit in that space!!

Winnie,
We have a large dining room table so we do puzzles at one end and use the other for meals. Even a card table works well. My aunt use to have one and she could move it around when she needed to. We had one but I think we got rid of it. I also have a game table but it is only big enough for a 1000 piece puzzle and not big enough to spread out the pieces while it is being worked on. It folds up in half when not being used and so I mostly use it as the half to hold my plants.

Those are so pretty Denise.
Connie I love the US. I hope you did the coating for it. It will be an amazing teaching tool and reference for Lily June.I
My mother in law was a puzzler...she always had one going. The last one I remember her framing was a long picture of main street...by the man who was such a prolific painter of life through WWII and my childhood...Norman Rockwell. I love his work.

I will have lots of puzzles for my granddaughter to choose from when she comes over again. She loves to do them as much as I do. I am passing some of these on to friends too.

Maybe the reason I'm not a puzzler is because for many, many years I had to pick up after little kids and be sure the pieces were all there, when they finished their puzzle. I even made a set of 10 or 12 wooden puzzles for my first graders.

Marilyn, I wish I had a nickel for every puzzle piece I picked up! Lol! Holly loved puzzles and all the kids in the neighborhood mostly played at our house.

I tried color coding the backs of my wooden puzzles. But still...you know when some little kid says I can do three and then they drop them and the pile of pieces seems to be so big.

Here is the latest we finished. The top took a loooooooong time - all trees with snow on branches.

Working on one now with lots of cats all together. It is coming along, but not easy.

OMG,, these new completed puzzles are wonderful! They are not only beautiful pictures, but are unique in the subject matter. So much fun and creativity happening in Farmgirl homes! If you gotta stay home, might as well take advantage of the extra time and enjoy puzzling.

Wow, Linda, That is quite a puzzle. Can't imagine doing all the green with the snow.

Worked on one yesterday and I gave up because it was just too difficult. JT worked on it and when the grandkids came over (finally) my granddaughter worked on it with him. They finished all but a few spots by the time she left. So I finally finished it up last night because JT was tired of working on it. I think it hurt our brains. LOL! I'll post a picture after awhile. The pieces are really weird. It seems Bits and Pieces likes those with odd shapes. I couldn't even get the outside pieces all done.

The puzzle we are working on now is a 2000 piece Coca Cola puzzle. It takes up almost the entire dining room table - it is 34-1/2" x 42". It is full of Coca Cola collectible items and different cans and bottles, etc. It is fun, and I have worked this several times before, but the hard thing is that we have worked on it for 2 days and still have not found all the border pieces. A lot of the pieces are just 3/8" slivers, the pieces do not all interlock (some are just nested against the next one), and the pieces are not the typical very similar pieces. My husband chose this as the next puzzle and he said he didn't realize it would be this difficult. LOL!

Linda, you'll have to post us a picture when your done. I have never attempted one over 1000 pieces. My mom and I used to love to work on them when she and dad would come visit. Finished up a 500 hundred piece this morning from starting it yesterday. Have to take lots of breaks from them as I can't sit for long periods of time.
