Since Spring is the 20th according to calendar, I thought it would be fun to do a swap to celebrate the coming season.
Sign up by 10th and I'll post partners on the 11th. Mail out will be by the 18th.

| I would love to participate so please sigh me up! Spring has sprung down here and now this week we are back to winter weather and a possible freeze on Wednesday night. March can be such a roller coaster month of weather, even this far south. After this front, it goes back up into the upper 70s and low 80s again. I will enjoy using some sweaters again for a few days. LOL!!! |

I love the hens and frisk g roo picture Connie.
My husband asked me why one of my hens was running loose...when I looked at who he was pointing to, I said that is a roo. He was being too rough with my hens and I threw him out two months ago. My husband said he does not have spurs! Well yesterday I saw him standing at the corner of the pen where he used to live...crowing loudly.cock a doodle! Cock a doodle! Spurs or no spurs he is a hyperactive, very fast, arrogant roo!!! |

| My son when he was about 12 was spurred by one of our roosters. Still has the scars. The rooster was dinner. I don't butcher mine so he ended up in pot at our friends table. |

The only roos who ever attacked me are the Nankins. They are beautiful, but they are mean, mean, MEAN!!! After I had one on my back a second time I told my hubby that was it. I would never go into his pen, ever again. Now he has two pens of Nankins. The little hens are so sweet. Have you ever heard anyone refer to a tiny man as acting like a banty rooster???
At one time I had a dozen roos that were yard birds. When I went to my car, they followed me, as if to say Bye! Then when I came home they came to greet me.
This is funny...the little chick that split her shell in half about midnight is all fluffed out, and napping but when I go in the bathroom and turn the light on, she begins to chirp. I have watched as she moves the other eggs and Pecks on them as if to say wake up! I think she is lonely. Tomorrow is day 21/ |
