Good morning - I recently joined the Wildflower Farmgirls group. I'm excited to get to know the group and take part in some of the discussions.

I live in Cordova, TN (suburb of Memphis, TN). Married. 2 fur-babies. Love to read and spend time with my family. Try my hand at different craft projects. Like paper crafts and stocking up on painting supplies so that I can try to start painting again.

Can't wait to get to know everyone!

Hi Kristi! Happy to have you join us! What kind of books do you like to read? Do you paint with acrylics or oils?

Thank you for the warm welcomes.

Shannon - I have two dogs - a blind Shih-tzu named Lucy and a deaf Cocker Spaniel named Coco (because he is brown like chocolate :). They are a handful but so loving.

Debbie - I did not grow up in the Memphis area. I am a military brat and moved a lot as a child. I spent most of my life in Alabama and moved here about 4 1/2 years ago. We have a lake house about 1 1/2 hours east of here (between Memphis and Nashville) and love to spend as many weekends there as we can.

Erin - I'll read anything but fiction, light hearted mysteries, and Christian fiction are my favorite. I do love Jane Austin. As far as my painting, I'm stocking up on acrylics to start off. I have some oils but haven't done much with them. I recently took an art class with a local artist and had so much fun that I wanted to try my hand at it again. I haven't painted in 30 years :(

Kristi, my mom used to paint before she had kids, I didn't really realize she could paint until I was in my teens and she picked it up again! I'd love to see some of your work, if you're happy to share!! :)

Joyce - I don't mind sharing. I'm just getting started, buying supplies and thinking through some ideas. This is the painting I did at the class I took recently that spurred my interest again. I really like the texture on the canvas and the way the watered down acrylic runs down the canvas. I ordered several sizes of canvas from the store and a starter set of acrylics.
