I am not sure where to put this. I don't want to share with everyone on my FB page or even the main MJ board, but I do WANT TO SHARE!!!

I know many of you already know about my self-made 100 day challenge.
Here are some links if not. I would love you to follow along. I am Blogging, Posting, and Vlogging!!

FB Farm Page-https://www.facebook.com/WinklerDerBauernhof/
Video/ Vlog-https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6rAaWB8U8t13yBZCd-nwLA

The short story is, I plan to do a 100ish day challenge where I attempt to grow approx 60% of our years food on our farm. The catch being that we live 1.5 hrs away. The cabin on our farm, which I plan to move in to with my 3 children (while Matt stays "home" and works at his job, since we haven't had luck finding a good job near the farm), has no power or water.

Well, about 2 weeks ago, we offered our house and 2 acres to my parents. My step-dad is retiring in another month or so and they want something to can have things at and make it their forever home (maybe, never know, as I did move 32 times before graduating HS). This works out, because Matt can still live there so he can work, and THEY will be paying the payments!

Then I was perplexed over where all of my stuff was going to go. There is no way I can fit even HALF of our things in our cabin.

THEN, Matt's dad, who lives next door to the cabin and also bought an old rent house on the other side, offered us the rent house. This house is OLD, and needs a TON of work from renters trashing it out. But it is 5 bedrooms, and has running water! So now, 2 months before our challenge, and an hour and a half away most of the time, I have to figure out how to get this house ready to live in.

First, the roof needs repaired. We looked at it in the dark last night and could see there is definitely a leak going through an upstairs bedroom and causing so much moisture that an old couch and loveseat are covered in mold in the room underneath. Pray we can make this work!!

Alicia,
Great news how it all seems to be working out! So glad you will be closer to the farm. You are determined and have wanted this for so long I know you will make it work. Trust there is a plan and God will supply your needs. Can't wait to see the progress I know you will be making.

Alicia - Can't wait to see your challenge. It looks like things are working out. Is it really possible to grow enough food in 100 days? Hmmmmmmmmmm - if I didn't travel so much I'd try to grow a garden.

That is why I say 100ish...lol! Since my challenge is set to start April 15, and end Mid-July, a lot of crops won't be done. Also, we plan to grow out a couple of pigs, they won't finish in 100 days, either. Pastured Poultry will take 6-8 weeks. We are starting with 50 in April. It should be pretty amazing!

Wow, Alicia, you are going to be very busy but I have no doubt that you can make this work! It appears that many things are opening up to help you along and your determination and faith will help the rest. I do hope you will have time every now and then to keep us updated on how everything goes. I wish you and your family all the best and I hope this adventure will be as much fun as successful!!
