Hi Everyone,

My Mom has Congestive Heart Failure and was just signed on to Hospice Home Health Care yesterday. She needs 24/7 care now. My sisters and brothers and I are going to take care of her with the help of Hospice personnel. So glad there are lots of us to do all that needs to be done.

There isn't any internet service at her home making it very difficult for me to keep up with my MJ activities. Even our cell phones don't have good service as the case worker that came found out quickly.

I will do the October Swap though and hopefully have time once in a while to check in and see what's up with y'all. Hope everyone has a Happy and Wonderful Fall.

Well Mom's funeral was yesterday. She was with Hospice for less than 2 weeks. God was gracious and gave us time to say Good-bye to her during that time. Her family was able to spend time with her or call her and visit while she was able to enjoy it. She sure did go fast, but she isn't suffering anymore. She sure missed Dad too! He went to be with Jesus 6 years ago. We had a beautiful day and a very pleasant and nice funeral with only her immediate family. Some of them told me it was the nicest and most respectful funeral they had ever attended.

We know for sure she is in Heaven with Jesus and dad and all that have gone on before her. We also know for sure we will see them when it is our turn to leave this world. What a Great day of rejoicing it was in Heaven when she arrived there.

My DH and I are now the oldest family members. I will still have lots to get settled for mom since I'm in charge now, but I will have time to visit MJ's again.

She will be missed, but we are all happy for her.

Still cleaning out Mom's house getting it ready for sale and helping my DH and his brother take care of their Mom. They are doing a great job, but some of the personal care is kind of difficult for them. Lol! Guess I will be busy this Holiday Season. She's 95 and has the beginning of Alzheimer's and has some compression fractures in her spine. Just a little bit of a woman, but feisty. It's going to be interesting.

Sorry to not have time to read all of your postings right now. Have a Great Thanksgiving everyone.

Farm Girl Hugs,
Brenda

Brenda -

So sorry to hear about your mom. You take the time you need to be with her and your family. Hospice is a Godsend; my father had hospice and they took wonderful care of him and helped the family out tremendously. Check in when you can, and know that our hugs and prayers are with you and your mom and family.

Hi Ladies,

Have an update on my mom. She has been with Hospice for a week and two days now. At the beginning she could use her walker and get around the house. Now she is only able to get up from the bed and on to the commode beside the bed and back into bed. She is hardly eating anything and not drinking much. She has gone down so fast in the last couple of weeks. I feel so sorry for her. So glad I'm able to sleep in my own bed tonight and probably back to her house tomorrow night. Very glad Hospice was called in to help out. It will make everything easier. If we didn't have Hospice involved and she died at home, we would have to have an investigation with the Sheriff and coroner and who knows who else. I have been told that it is very ugly and stressful to go through. Hope all of you are doing well.

Oh Brenda, that must be so hard on you watching her decline so fast. I am glad you got hospice in there to help out. That would be horrible to have that kind of thing happening if you hadn't.
My prayers continue for you and your mom. You take care and rest too.

Continued prayer for you and your Mom, Brenda. Darlene is right - you take care and get rest; don't over-do it yourself.

Thanks Sherry. Hope you are doing okay. It just seems as the days go on,he has so much arthritis pain and just doesn't want to do anything. He complains alot and that gets taxing at times because there is nothing I can do about it for him. The good days are becoming less odten. I'll be praying for your dad.
