Here is the remnants of what we woke up to here in east Texas. It was foggier before my shower. We may have a couple days of waking up to this heavy heavy fog.

Linda, beautiful pictures.

Today was absolutely gorgeous! Spent a good part of the day outside doing some yard chores. Afterwards, pored myself a glass of wine and enjoyed some mega relaxation while absorbing some vitamin D. We haven't had a day like that in a long time. It's been so cold and wet! The forecast is calling for rain tomorrow. It will be a perfect day to get some work done!

2 inches of rain over the weeken and still misting. Definitely the drought buster we were hoping for. My dirt road is so bad no one is getting in or out for a few days so I will enjoy the slow down time and solitude. I have a date with my sewing machine, trying to finish up a couple of little projects and than maybe a nap.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Julie, the rain sounds wonderful!

We had a gorgeous weekend. I've had a chance to sit outside in between catering to the construction crew. Enjoyed every minute! Cheers!

Our weekend was partly rainy and partly sunny. When I went to church there were hard drops, finer rain and misty rain when I got there. Ferndale has interesting weather patterns.

Today is sunny but were supposed to get more rain this week.

We had a wonderful weekend of warm and sunny days! Today, we have snow! lol

I just read this on the news feed: "The most dangerous weather — heavy winds, tornadoes and giant hail — will likely take aim at a 66,000-square-mile area stretching from southern Oklahoma to southern Nebraska, including the Oklahoma City and Wichita, Kansas, areas, according to the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma. Parts of Texas and Missouri are also at risk for big hail and damaging wind gusts, forecasters said."

To everyone in that area, please stay safe!

Yes we are "under the gun" so to speak. It has been incredibly hot and muggy (high humidity) for three days. They keep changing the time frame on us. However, about 11:00am I began to see announcements that all Local schools will close at 2:00pm. That gives enough time to run bus routes before 3-3:30pm. I went and found my son, so he could alert his wife. It will probably be a long night, with many prayers for God's protection. Last year was bad, so hopefully this will not be.

We prepared, everyone in our county seemed to be ready. Shelters in town opened early. We had wind and rain. Some people had pea up to marble sized hail. God is so awesome. He gave us rain, but spared us the bad stuff. Thanks ladies. I love you all.

I learned a lot about Erath County yesterday. I have lived here for 55 of my 72 years, and have always known we have a good county filled with good people, but watching the storm prep, well it warmed my heart. One young woman, whose elderly mom lives in Dublin, ten miles away, asked if some one could go and help her mom cover her car. The response was amazing. We have a Facebook group, which most counties around here have, and I am learning that most folks are honest, with kind hearts. In trouble we all pull together. God blessed us and spared us last night.

My great niece, age 19, lives in Wylie, Texas with her parents. They lost three vehicles in the recent hail storm about three weeks ago.Last night she posted that every one in Wylie is suffering from PTSD...POST TRAUMATIC STORM DISORDER...and here they were dreading another one.

Marilyn, I am glad you didn't get the really bad storm, it is nice to have someone that helps when in need.

It must be very unsettling to be so uptight because you aren't sure if your going to have another bad storm or not. Not fun!
About 4:18 am, I checked the clock after the thunder and lightening, I was sleeping very soundly and then the big thunder woke me, it was one of those traveling thunders, hits big and then you hear it thundering further on as it strikes, any way it was big and loud. We don't get a lot of that here so any way there was a lot of lightening after that and I had my ears plugged but that was it just lightening no noise. Twas good for me. I love to see lightening, it is so beautiful, but don't like it much. Today we have had some rain and wind but that is pretty much it so far.
Have a safe day out there.
love and hugs

It seems that that storm has continued on its path to the north east. I pray that everyone is ok. I heard a weather person say today that it looked more like a hurricane developing in the middle of the country, than a dry line.

The storms came through New Orleans quickly this afternoon right before we took our airboat tour through the swamps. After the dtorm passed through we took our air boat ride and saw alligators, heron, and other birds.
