Glad that none of you have had tornadoes tear up your home or community. The photos on the news of those states hit, it is just heart breaking at the devastation!!
I know all the farmers in the mid-west are worried about getting bit crops in and actually producing a marketable harvest. This flooding and constant rain and stormy days have been in place for weeks in some areas.

We finally had a brief thunderstorm last night and a decent shower. It was so badly needed. Today, it looks like no more rain for another week to 10 days again so temps remain high in the mid to upper 90s. Sigh.

It is overcast for me today, and rain is expected by this afternoon or evening. We really don't need much more, the grounds are saturated.
So glad the tornadoes didn't affect any of our communities.

The community of Dayton where my daughter lives did not fair so well. Thankfully they are fine but they shared some devastating pictures.

They've got us under another tornado watch again tonight. Hope it doesn't turn to a warning again.

We were under one that ended about 1:30pm but they reissued it until 8pm. I hope you did not have to go to the basement Denise.

It was just a bad thunderstorm. No alerts or anything. Another tonight and then it looks like some much nicer cooler weather for a bit.

We had 1-1/2" rain, thunder and lightning, but luckily nothing worse. Ed was at his property and had a lot of rolling clouds. There was a tornado again in Canton, TX, where they were hit just 2 years ago. And First Monday Trade Days is this weekend there. I don't know how much of the large flea market area was hit.

There's a thin layer of water over part of my backyard - no place for it to go. Hope the sunshine and wind today will dry it out. No rain in the forecast till next week. Too much rain for now but on the upside I haven't had to water.

I was watching Tsunami Rose filling a junk journal, this morning and she was commenting on the weather too. She said Vegas is always HOT, but it is unseasonably cool. I have heard talk for years about pole shifts...I read that the area we know as Illinois may have been near the equator, some time in the distant past.
I certainly don't understand why our weather is so crazy...perhaps God is trying to make a point.

Well June opens Hurricane Season for those of us along the Gulf Coast. UGH!! here we go again with the watch and wait weeks ahead. I. Am not looking forward to this season because last year was really awful for so many! The Gulf and Atlantic waters are already warmer than normal and that is like fuel to a hurricane. We shall see what 2019 brings.

Winnie, I will be keeping an eye on you and all my family there. I hate to hear that it is hurricane season.
We are having warmer weather and Friday and Saturday were very nice. Saturday started a warm up for us but not bad at 83. Today is gorgeous. Warm but a breeze.Hoping the storms here start to settle down. I'm glad for the rain because it keeps the grass green!

Well, Winnie the weather folks think we have a hurricane forming in the gulf of Mexico...near Cancun! Last night(about 8pm) the police put out notice that they were canceling Dairy Fest for the remainder of the evening. I asked my husband to look at his radar, there really wasn't any thing close by...but within thirty minutes it began to rain. Just gentle rain. About 30 minutes later the potato wagon turned over. I went to sleep. About 12:30 am when I went to the bathroom, it was raining. Again at 4am still raining. When we got up late at 8am it was still raining!!! God blessed us with almost 4" of blessing rain. We are in a rainy pattern this upcoming week then add that system in the gulf. ..who knows!

Ladies, look what was in our city park Friday evening! Aren't they pretty!

Dairy Fest was going on and my husband said the big balloons were part of Dairy fest. I don't think I have ever seen so many cars or people in that park before...not even on the fourth of July!!!

Thunder is rolling here. Jbear is headed down tonight. Hoping he doesn't leave till it's over up there and here. The good news is the high tomorrow will be in the 60s.

Today is the first anniversary of our newly weds.
They are visiting his mom before his big event begins in a couple of weeks.
This morning I sent a message saying happy anniversary. Bay responded with thank you. So I told her about the rain. She said, "oh dang, it is sunny and warm here."They are in Louisiana. Well we got some sunshine later in the morning. It was a lovely day.

At least we didn't get much from that storm. Maybe another coming through later. But the thunder is off in the distance now. On the upside no headache so it must be when it is going be a bad one I get them.

Today and tomorrow are in the mid 70's and then a warm up with thunderstorms on Wednesday. Mid 80's Wednesday and Thursday. I am so grateful that we aren't having temps in the 90's yet. Usually we do have some 90 degree days by now.

Thunderstorms moving in later today but for now the air is heavy with the coming storm. Yesterday I felt the affects of it even though it wads hundreds of miles away; and today it hangs heavy on me. Waiting for that first sound of rolling thunder when the heaviness is lifted off me and instantly I feel better. I know you that deal with most chronic illnesses know what I am talking about.

I do understand Sara. I also understand why people used to move to Arizona to escape the humidity and the pain that goes with humidity. I guess we are seeing that first tropical system moving up from Cancun.
