Raining here today but there is sun in the forecast for more days than there is rain so that is a plus!

Minnesota just may get an early spring. Today, 40s tomorrow 57, Sun. low 60s. In 2012, our anniversary on St. Patricks day was 80. A record. We usually have snow or blizzards.

This is a most unusual year weather wise. Today I picked my friend up and took her to her mothers, once again. We really worked hard today. We picked up between 10 and 15 gallons of pecans. This was our third trip to do this. But we were gifted the most beautiful day! Her 94 year old mother even came outside to sit and watch us.

We finally got rain today. Not much and only for about 20 minutes but at least we got some.

Sunny here again and I have to say I cannot get enough of this sunshine! We seem to be staying fairly consistent in our temperatures here. Mostly mid to high 50's for this coming week!

More rain today -- it is a cold rain; colder than it was all winter. Strange.

Yesterday was very warm but only had short times of sunshine. Was mostly overcast with sprinkles once in a while. To day is much cooler here 50s and the wind is really blowing. This coming week's forecast looks quite rainy.

Lots of rain here in east Texas, too, Marilyn. Grounds are all spongy and squishy. Good to stay inside. I think Ed and I will take a walk, today. Have to get out.

The weather was halfway decent yesterday so I got out in the yard and pulled up a big bucket of weeds. Violets are starting to bloom. I'm glad they all didn't get pulled up n the clean up last fall. It was so nice to be outside (except for the barking dog in the house behind us) and I may do it again today. There are always more weeds. Rain is predicted next week but it is supposed to be 70 today.

I discovered, this evening that the pecan trees, which are the slowest to leaf out, sometimes making us wait and wait until late April...are leafing out!!! Then , talking to myself I wondered aloud if the crepe myrtles were doing the same. They are also very cautious. And they have tiny leaves too!
Hip Hip Hurray!
Now if someone can explain to me why God has us on this hurry up, schedule.
As best I can tell we are about a month ahead of time.

Don't get me wrong, I am loving it! Just wondering how long until the A/C will need to be turned on. It will be 90° tomorrow!
My rule of no A/C until the tenth of June...I am afraid it won't happen,

The rain came early this morning as they said it would. It seems to bring with it the ants. I really am hoping our whole Spring and summer isn't going to be rainy. We all need some sunshine-y vitamin D.

Well Denise, I set my alarm for 5am. We got up had coffee, got in the car and drove to Walmart, where we waited outdoors for five minutes...to be welcomed in. I had split the list so we could hurry. Well let me tell you...that did not work.
Anyway we were checked out with Hads list, Julie's list, and B&T's list as well as our own. But as I started toward the door one of the girls who was moving mats, putting down dry ones...told me it was raining.
It was not raining it was Pouring and the wind was blowing about 40mph. We stood there with a man whose buggy was also full, and then a lady joined our group. While Robert went to bring the car up to the pillars in front of the store, the lady showed me the radar on her phone. It was bright red...a very long thick line of red. Oh. My!
We had two buggys full of stuff. It was Pouring rain, lightening flashing, thunder rolling and the wind. We opened the hatch back and the back door and began to toss things in. I was careful with the bread and buns. I think Robert took the buggies inside, I got in the car, wet curly hair, wet clothes and shoes.
I had worn a mask while shopping, but it came off in the car.I
That was my only outing to get groceries since this all started, and it was memorable!!

We've only been out twice in the last two weeks - once to the grocery store at some 5:30 in the morning and the second time to the vet to have the orphan kitties post surgery checkup and shots. The vet has everyone waiting outside in their cars. It started raining while we were waiting. I got out of the car and walked around. It's out in the country and it smelled so good and clean in the rain. It wasn't the downpour you had; I wish it was -- we sure need it. I only got a little damp, but it was worth it.

I made a quick run to the amish market at 8:45. They don't normally open till 9 but the door was open then. I headed in got my stuff making sure I was 6ft away from everyone. One lady didn't have a cart and was just wandering so I kept moving away from her. I only get my meat there. I was in and out at home by 9:10. Was glad I didn't have to be there long. Many did not seem to be observing that social distancing but I did my best and got out. It is still raining and will be through till Monday.

I hate that the rain brings ants. I’ve had them in the old house in the kitchen, 2nd bath, and laundry room - all are
