Hi "Wildflowers"
I was looking for a Hen House in TN, but no luck. I got such a warm welcome and encouragement from some of the Wildflowers, I decided to join and here I am. I have been a Farmgirl for some time, off and on....but work got in the way often. I am now retired and relocated from NC to TN. My husband and I live in an 1899 farmhouse in a semi rural part of East TN near Knoxville. When we lived in NC we had goats, chickens and guinea hens, while raising 2 boys. With retirement, the boys settled and married, comes the plan to travel more. (Glamping hopefully). I enjoy any type of crafting, gardening, cooking, junketing and re-purposing vintage treasures. So looking forward to making new friends as a Wildflower.

God made rainy days so gardeners could get the housework done. ~Author Unknown

Hi Joan!
I am a newbie in this hen house too. I'd love to find a bit different farmhouse than the one we are in. I bet yours is beautiful.

We have accumulated somewhere around 6 or 7 inches since last night with more in the forecast. Wouldn't be bad but it is heavy for shoveling and the wind chill makes it much worse.

Denise, do you usually get a drier snow? When we get to enjoy snow it is usually wet, but it is a rare treat.

We usually get wet snow. The kids love it because it is good for making snowmen!

My sister sent me a picture earlier... her kids made a snow princess... the bottom looked like a scalloped full skirt and it was wearing a tiara!

Cute. Someone put a short video on Facebook of deer running in the streets of DC, people sledding on Capitol Hill, and a giant panda at the national zoo frolicking in the snow. So cute!

Seems like everyone is faring well in the snow. Sun is shining here today, but cold. Joyce where do you live in BC? I was born in North Vancouver, lived there till I was 20.

Welcome Joan! I'm so happy you've joined our group! I spent a couple months in Knoxville when I was in high school. It's very pretty in TN.

Can you email me your address so I can send you a welcome packet? Shannon has a list of birthdays and anniversaries also, so send that info to her with your address if you'd like to be included in that list.
