I just got these out so Lily June can enjoy them this year! I have been fighting a cold for a week! Finally on the upswing! I love Valentines from the 1940's are my favorite! These are some of my favorites, some were gifts from Farmgirls, family and friends.

Thanks everyone! Oh, I love, love old valentines!!
Linda, what a great idea!! you can find groups of 15 or more on Ebay from the 1950-60's, sometimes for about 15.00 total. The most I ever spent on one, is the one of the Girl with real hair and her Cat. I paid $12.00 for that one. I bought it in the Summer. about 10 years ago. My Hubby gives me Ebay Gift certificates for Holidays! I love them!!! If you shop Ebay in the summer, you can get a better deal on just about anything in the off season.

I bought a few of mine for $2.00 each at a Antique-Junk store in little towns near mine. Some of Mine were my Granny's. I have some framed, they were to my Granny from my mom and Aunt Sue. and one from her Mother, My Great-Grama Nora Patton to her Childrem when they were little.

The single frame is to her children from my Great Grama Nora, My Granny's mom, it was from 1932.
The next frame, the one on the left is my from my Mom and Aunt Sue to my Granny and Paw-paw, from the late 1940's. The one on the right is from the early 1960's from my Aunt Judy and Aunt Anita to my Granny! My Granny kept just about everything!! that's where I get it from! LOL!!!

I remember larger cards when I was in elementary school I. The early 1950s. I received a large jointed Valentine in the sixth grade. It was neat and unusual.
