I was wondering which badges people have earned, and which badges people are working on? I haven't earned any, but have completed the requirements for a few beginner ones. I just haven't done the applications yet.

I haven't done the badges Amy. But would love to see what people are working on.

Amy, you might want to think about applying for your badges. I find them fun and it encourages me to learn about something new.

Here is my badge list:

Shopping Green - Beginner level (I need to continue on that one)
Recycling - Expert Level
Home Insulation - Beginning level
Farmgirl Gratitude - Beginning level
Know your Roots - Expert level
Relaxation - Beginning level
Knitting - Intermediate level
Button up - Beginning (I need to finish that one cause I could)
Quilting - Expert level

When things settle I plan on working on new ones.

Carole, when you do the intermediate or expert levels, do you receive a badge or a certificate, or both?

Amy, when you complete a badge, Brian sends you a link to print out a certificate of completion and a link that has the badge logo. You can print the badge logo on fabric paper and then embroider somewhere that you like or just keep the logo with your badge certificate. I have all my badges in a plastic sleeve inside a notebook. I have plans to embroider my badges on a tote one of these days!

Amy, as soon as you complete a level (and have submitted to Brian), you receive the badge logo and a certificate for each level you complete. What determines the level you are at on the logo is the number of lines you have around it. In other words, my quilting badge would have 3 lines outlining the logo and I have 3 certificates.

I plan on hand embroidering my badges. You can photocopy them on "transfer eze" which is a water soluble stabilizer that rinses out. I use it all the time for my towel designs. It saves me from having to trace the pattern.

Thanks, I have been wondering about that. I have another question, too. If you are already at the intermediate or expert level, can you skip the beginner (or intermediate)? That's probably a dumb question, but I'm not embarrassed to be dumb in front of my henhouse sisters :)

Amy, what I have done on a few badges is just go ahead and say that you are past this level but just go through the paces anyway. I find there is always a good reason to review the basics.
