Thank you Darlene. I wish they would leave sooner too but they have four Italian mastiffs and a cat so I don't think they want to move more than once.

Here's hoping all us West Coast residents have clean air sometime soon. I am really missing sleeping at night with open windows and cool clean air.

Thanks, Denise. I have completed 4 PT sessions and have at least 20 more to go. The bruise on my arm is still pretty large and purple; I think the OR Tech that held my arm put too much pressure on it. Ed says they have to hold the arm up and in different positions so the doctor can work with the scope in the shoulder. The muscles in my upper arm are still sore - especially when I am doing the exercises. I am keeping up with the exercises so hopefully this will heal and feel better quickly. I am still on the Tramadol pain meds; they dull the pain, but don't completely get rid of it.

Sorry, probably TMI.

Linda

I can understand why your arm is sore, I have watched some surgeries on knees on You Tube and that is a tough job especially with pulling and putting in to place. I can imagine how they moved your arm around during your surgery. Keep strong you are making it and your going to be stronger than ever. :) It is really interesting to watch those!

hugs and love

Darlene - My PT Therapist asked if I had watched the films on the surgery and I said no. He said "Good!" because you don't want to know what they are going to do. LOL! I hadn't seen the films on my hip replacement, either.

Linda, he is probably right but for me, I wanted to know more about what they still need to do, I have had lots of time to learn, still am looking for more information though. I have not had chance to really talk to my doctor yet, at this rate I might know more than he does, ha ha, anyway it has been very entertaining having to stay home so much. I wish they would hurry up, I would like to get out and walk normal again.
Have a good night and feel better!

Here is an update on my progress...

It’s not over til it’s over#128579; I went to Redding and saw the PAC again, last time I saw him was in 2018. Anyway he looked at my X-rays and aid they were going to do a different procedure, before final knee replacement. They are going to take out the spacer which he is concerned that it is making the end of the bones irritated and maybe crumbling. They are going to replace that with a long rod that goes into the femur and also down the Tibia so I can’t bend my knee at all. Probably will be in there for a month or two or three. Then they will put all the knee parts back.
in. They were concerned about infection still. That’s how it goes for now.

God bless everyone!

Judith, I hope your daughter can settle soon. She and family must be anxious to get some peace of mind again.

Linda, I know the recovery from your shoulder surgery has been difficult. I have had two friends here who had the same thing in the past two years and it was a long road to getting back to normal. And yes, they had a lot of the same problems that you have had. I hope each week you are seeing less pain and getting stronger in your arm.

Prayers for everyone here who is facing hardship, an up coming surgery, or recovering from a problem. Denise, I hope JT will have an easy time with his upcoming surgery later this month.

Today was the funeral for our friend who had pancreatic cancer. He died last week without being able to see his son from Peru. The plane that the son was supposed to be able to take got cancelled so he did not even get here until late last night. Thankfully he was here for the funeral service to celebrate his Dad's life with all his family. The Mass today was lovely and the church has made sure that there is lots of safe seating, plenty of hand sanitizer around, and adjustments made to the order of service to keep everyone safe. The service was also done online for those who could not make it or who were worried about a gathering with unknown people.

Winnie, so sorry to hear about your friend's passing. So glad to hear his son could get there for the funeral and the celebration of his dad's life. I'm sure it was hard for him to not have gotten the opportunity to tell his dad goodbye. Will keep the family in prayer as they go through the grieving process.

Winnie -

Thank you for thinking of me. The pain is the hardest part to deal with. After sleeping all night my arm is somewhat stiff in the mornings and painful to do exercises, then loosens during the day, and tightens up again in the evening. My therapist says that the night pain is the last to be gotten rid of.

so sorry your friend's son wasn't able to get here before his dad passed away; good that he did get here for the funeral.

Hugs and prayers for JT, Darlene, and all henhouse family who needs support. That's one thing we are here for.

Good Morning everyone! I just came home from the hospital after having laser eye surgery. I am praying that it will help my vision...I am so tired of squinting. I had cataracts removed from both eyes about 1 yr ago and then a film appeared and I went today to have that removed. Maybe now I will be able to see clearly. Kathy

Kathy, I hope that works for you, I have enough problem with my glasses seeing out of them but I can't imagine having my vision blurred because of cataracts. I watched a cataract surgery on YouTube, that was really something to see. You were awake the whole time of the surgery? Well you are certainly in my prayers for a fast healing.

Linda, I hope your arm is feeling better, prayers for you too.

Blessings everyone!
I love you all.

Kathy, I hope your recent surgery will fix your problem you have been having.

Linda, I hope your PT is getting easier and that your arm is hurting less. My friend had reconstructive surgery on her shoulder and it was a good 6-8 months before she really felt mostly pain free. Everyone is different and I hope your results will come much sooner. It is hard when your wing is mostly out of commission because of pain!

Thank you all for your well wishes. Even though there is still some blurring because my eyes were dilated I am seeing better already.
Linda, I haven't met you yet, did you have a torn rotator cuff surgery? If you did make sure you do your exercises.which hurt but in the end you will regain full range of motion and will be worth all of the pain. I had that surgery about 10 yrs ago and I wouldn't do it again, ... lol. My friend slacked off of her exercises and now wishes she hadn't. Take care and lots of prayers for you. Kathy

Kathy, what is the recovery time for your eye surgery? I know several people who have had cataract surgery but I really don't know much more than how quick the surgery took to do in the first place. I hope that each day will get better and better for you! It's so frustrating to not be able to see well or clearly.

Prayers for your eye recovery, Kathy.

My PT for my rotator cuff was going well, but I think he's working on different muscles now, because MY ARM HURTS LIKE THE DICKENS. I'm back using the ice machine. LOL! I do the exercises, but the pain in my upper arm is as bad now as it was in the beginning of PT. LOL! Oh, well, I'm keeping on keeping on.
