Thank you sweet friends for your prayers. The surgery was done about three this afternoon. When I left at six to come home and feed all of his critters as well as my hens, he was enjoying his supper. My son, Julie and Hadlee were still there. Rehab folks will get him up tomorrow and depending on how he does, they will make a decision about what comes next...rehab or home health. I vote rehab and he says home health. Since I will be at work, I do not expect to win. I will talk to him early in the morning when I visit and try to reason with him. I am ready for Saturday to be here, so perhaps I can get a nap in. Y'all have a good, blessed day tomorrow.

(((hugs))) Marilyn! You can always speak to the nurses about the fact that you are concerned about home health, as you will be at work during the day. That way your vote and concerns are still heard by others than just your hubby!!! I will be praying that God's will for his care is done!!! Praying <3

Marilyn - I thought the PA told you definitely rehab for 2 weeks. Since you know the PA and doctor fairly well, maybe talking to them would let them know why rehab would be better.

It is strange how the home health/rehab goes. I told the doctor I wanted rehab when I had my hip replacement, because I had no one at home, and yet they sent me home for home health. Three friends, who had husbands at home, were sent to rehab. Go figure.

Linda It was probably because of your insurance company, depending on how much they want to pay.

I know, it does not make sense. The PA over ruled my primary doctor twice on my second knee replacement. We will see who wins. I told my son tonight that his dad needs to think of me in this equation too. It would be different if I were not working. Wade is going to talk to him. I will deal with what ever happens. The kids can check on him , but they are committed to two hours each morning caring for their other grandmother.

Friends, please pray for me. My husband is so bent out of shape over his next step...home health or rehab at the nursing home. He does not want either one. But he needs something.

Marilyn, I hope your hubby will feel better about his choices as he understands that he will heal faster and be more independent sooner. It is very hard after such a jolt like breaking a hip. Prayers for you both that his healing will get easier each day.

Thank you ladies. My son thinks it is the pain meds that are causing him to be so combative. I left the hospital while ago, near tears. It probably is the pain meds.

(((hugs))) Marilyn! Praying that you see God's Hands through this and feel His comforting arms! Medications definitely do weird things to the head! Especially if he is on narcotics! <3

Marilyn, I am so sorry you are having to go through this, but totally agree with Shannon on the meds :(! Hopefully he will do what is best for him for his healing process and you, so you don't have to worry about him.

Update on me: My tests went well, so glad they are over :)! No polyps, praise the Lord! They have done a couple of biopsies which should be back next Wednesday. Right now doctor is saying colitis, but will not treat me until the results are back. So I will stay close to home in the meantime.
Hope you all have a good, safe weekend! Prayers continue for those in need!
Hugs, Ruth

I went to Dr. today, My Tick bite is still red. She put me on Doxcycline (I can't spell it.) makes me so Nauseated I take it with food. If after 10 days the redness is not gone, they will draw blood for Lyme Disease test. So far no fever, My MS symptoms are so like some of the Lyme disease ones, it's hard to say. Thanks for your prayers!!
