Thanks, Linda. He is pretty tough, but getting older. When I look at him and see the greying hair on his head and face it makes me a bit sad. It means we are both getting older.

Oh Marylin, I hope you son gets fixed up real soon. I get a new knee om May 11. The have to remove the rod that's in it from when I broke my femur too. At least the weather will be getting nice. Then I can be outside without snow and ice.

Ladies I have a prayer request. Three girls, ages 15, 16 and 17 were in a horrible accident yesterday afternoon, in the small community where I love to sub and my grandkids go to church. It was raining and the kaliche road was very slick. At a hair pin curve the 17 year old driver lost control and they rolled and hit a tree. Each one is broken up (arms and legs), as well as other injuries, but will hopefully all survive. Two Fed Ex trucks were behind them and they stopped, and called 911. They all had to be cut out of the vehicle. Then they were taken by ambulance into town, stabilized, then on to Fort Worth by ambulance because the weather was too bad for helicopters to fly. One had surgery last night a other this morning. These are all good sweet kids. They and their families go to church with my grand kids, youth, etc. I have worked with them as a sub since they were in elementary school. Please remember them and their families as they recover. It will be a long time. Their names are Aubrey, Randi, and Sunnie. God is good. He loves these girls and they love him. He is in control, but he likes to hear us ask for His help.

Marilyn - how is your son feeling? With the fluid off his knee is he doing better? Continuing to pray for him as well!

Thanks ladies. Shannon, my son is not in pain, but his wife told us today that the doctor injected something that is anti inflammatory. She said he is irritable, so difficult right now...but her mom had the same thing recently and became very combative towards Julie's sister, whom she lives with. So Julie thinks he should be a lot better in two more weeks. He did not stay and visit after lunch today, and I thought it odd, then Julie explained. He needs prayer for sure. Thanks for asking.

That medication is causing those results. That is tough on them. My prayers go with them.

Blessings

I know, I just had no idea they had used something like that on him or Julie's mom, or anyone else.

Thanks Linda.

Sounds like a cortisone shot. They hurt like crazy right after the injection, but sure do make a world of difference to help with the swelling and pain.

I have had cortisone too but it never made me angry. I think the doctors who used it on my shoulders mixed it with another drug. It does help. Before my knee surgeries they injected me with the stuff made from rooster combs. It did not cause the side effects they are having.

I have a prayer and praise request... we are expecting again... due in November. We are excited, but we have lost MANY babies, and I've already had some issues with cramping and spotting.

Cortisone in my wrist didn't affect me that way, either.

Prayers for you and your baby, Shannon.

And prayers for me at my appointment tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully everything is ok.

I had a mammogram and they found a new small spot they want to recheck. I think I'm having a sonogram to check it out. Not quite sure since I haven't done it before here.
