| This is a great idea! I do have a question. How do we know that person's mailing address? It won't be a surprise if you have to contact them first. I have the old address sheets from when I joined last year, but you never know if there are changes since then. Also, I don't have any of the new comer addresses. Any suggestions on how to keep an updated mailing address system for the Hen House that can be accessed online by anyone wishing to send a surprise to someone? Ideally , it needs to be something that each person fills out and updates with any changes and that we all can get to if we need to. This kinda throws a big wrinkle in the whole ROAK idea, but it can't work without correct addresses. What are everyone's ideas on how to solve the problem? |

| If you want to keep information online, you should also be able to "Dropbox" items to where you can make changes as necessary and just pull it up to see it... I think there is a google share or cloud as well, though I've only used that one once before. |

| I got a suprise in my mailbox yesterday. However it was not addressed to me it was addressed to Young Oliver c/o me. Thank You to Oliver's "Secret Friend" for the card and Mickey Mouse stickers! He liked opening the envelope and the stickers had to go right on his shirt. What a sweet thing to do and it just justifies what I always say. Farm Girls are the best. Since I am on the topic of Oliver, he is doing somewhat better, he is still running a temp and his white blood cell count is very high as is his platelet count but they have yet to find the source of his infection, he had more blood work again yesterday. His appetite has come back and he is drinking quite a bit of fluids so we are hoping he won't have to go back to the hospital for awhile. |
