I didn't know scarlet fever could start on the hands as well.... Learn something new everyday!

Have any of you ever taken a step back and realized just how much "stuff" you have!?!? I so want to purge the mass majority of it, but do not have enough time to pull back out what I have already packed! So. Much. Stuff!

Alicia - we KNOW you will take are of your children! You are a wonderful momma and your children are blessed to have you! I think the concern revolves around using google, herbs and oils, without ever getting a "expert" to evaluate the situation. Tere are times when things go bad so quickly, that seeing a doctor could have helped prevent. Please know that everyone on this forum loves you dearly and your children too! We are your sisters - a family that we have chosen rather than born with. And we know you will do what is best for your children... YOU are the perfect God-chosen momma to those blessings! Love ya girlie!

Oh Alicia, I am so SORRY if my suggestion made you feel like you don't take care of your children, I did not intend it to sound like that. IN my case I had to insist the doctor send the blood sample in for West Nile and Lyme disease as I had the bulls eye rash and had been bitten by both Mosquitos and ticks, she actually was quiet cynical and sarcastic about it thinking I was over reacting and was wrong. Needless to say, I now have a different doctor. I hope you daughter feels better soon.

Alicia, I'm continuing to pray for your lovely girl. Of course, everyone supports and loves you, but you know that, right!?! I'm amazed at the wealth of knowledge and experiences we represent in the henhouse, and along with that comes varied ideas. We are so lucky to be able to learn from each other, and we will surely disagree sometimes. What sister don't?! And one of the drawbacks of written only communication is we can't see each other's faces or hear inflections in each other's voices. But obviously the only thing that matters to all of your henhouse sisters is that sweet Isabella gets better. So keep on being the wonderful mom you are, and we'll keep on praying. Hugs to all the henhouse girls, and God bless!

Happy Day!

P.S. I really do love you all. My life is so stressful right now, I feel like you are holding me together. Today between my 93 year old mom and my 2 year old granddaughter, although I love them both dearly, I am plum run ragged.:O The time I spend reading and writing here are so comforting, I'd go nuts without it. (Some would say I'm already there -- hee hee :)!

Shannon, during the time I moved mom in with me I did a lot of purging, and I've stayed in that mode. Every time I give something away or donate it feels fabulous. Anyone elsewhere Freecycle.com? It's a great resource for recycling and getting free stuff, if you need it.

Happy Day!

Alicia, I apologize if my comment made it sound like I thought you wouldn't take care of getting it checked out. That wasn't my intention at all. I hope you know we all care and I would not to offend any of you sweet ladies.

It's no big deal. I am sorry. I just got very emotional thinking about Levi this morning and the mess the"system" made of our lives. One decision could have changed the outcome. I don't like it when my kids are sick. Who does? But I am not a mama that runs to the doctor for every sniffle or to get a flu shot. God provided us with the tools to handle most things. I trust in that. But of the things I was concerned over Isabelle having, there was no way I wasn't going to have her seen. I am not sure quite where I gave anyone that idea. I appreciate everyone's concern and prayers. Now, that doesn't mean I won't treat almost everything I can myself, including Isabelle's strep, now. The difference is, that along with herbal teas and colloidal silver, and diffusing oils, she is getting amoxicillan. We will beat this! :)

Hello everyone,

Doing a bit of catching up before I hit the sack! Just came back from a dinner with friends. We have been nicked named the Foursomes! lol We do this once a month. Always fun to catch up.

Thank you everyone for your kind comment regarding Pumpkin. Her graduation party was a success. We had over 35 guest and all had a wonderful time. My house guests left on Sunday! That day was spent doing lots of bedding laundry and towels! lol

Alicia, so sorry to read about your daughter. Please keep us posted.

Ruth, good to see you.

Well, it's 10:38 p.m. in my neck of the woods. So I'm hitting the sack! Goodnight everyone!

Hi everyone,
My cactus is in bloom again so i took some photos of it as it is opening. It started the bud opening yesterday and then the bloom was starting this morning and then after work it was open more.

Darlene, Beautiful! Like a gift from heaven. :)

Winnie, received the coffee. It smells so delicious! I'm going to wait until tomorrow morning to try it so I can really savor it. I'll also let my daughter try a cup, she's a coffee lover and likes to try all kinds of flavors. I'll let you know how we like it. Thanks so much!

Happy Day!

Darlene, your cactus are stunning! So, so unique and pretty!!

Alicia, many blessing to you today for a hectic and worrisome past few days! Just wanted to join everyone else in letting you know we love and care about you. If anything I said made you take offense, please accept my heartfelt apologies as it was never my intention to upset you either. Hoping Isabelle is feeling better this afternoon. The good news is that Strep responds well to amoxicillin!

Amy, I am curious to hear your assessment of my coffee and your daughter's too! Ruth volunteered to try it so it will be great having 3 opinions. I am hoping that I am close to my goal with what I have. Time will tell.

Darlene that is a beautiful bloom!

Alicia, I forgot about colloidal silver! Haven't used it in a while.
I have had success with grape seed extract also.

Shannon, I have thought about how much stuff I have and I have slowly been purging things. I go through every once in a while and decide whether something shall stay or go. It is continual practice. Some things may stay for a while and when I find I am not using them or enjoying them then it is time for them to go.

I got the impression must of us are Christian. And I hope I don't offend anyone. Sunday morning, I went to the alter with serious prayer on my heart. This is something my family and I have been praying for anyway, but I felt moved to go to the alter and really lay it out for my Lord. I know some of you know this already, but some may not.

Hi all my sisters ,I'm missed you all so much. And Thank You for all the prayers. Terry hasn't got his appointment yet. V.A. you know how that goes, anyway he has been doing better. And I had my lipitripcie . Almost all the stone is gone, but a little piece. So they are going to put another stint in and in August they are going up in the kidney and pull it out . Be glad when that is over and get back to my life. I feel like I have been on hold! lol

I want too say a big Thank You to the sweet person who sent me the Cheer up Note card and a small glitter heart necklace. I cried. Terry say's farmgirl! And grin's at me. He knows me well. I just love it. Wearing it now.

I am going back and reading so I can catch up with my sisters. And you are all in my prayers.

We have been having hot weather and rain. Our yard looks like a jungle. Had have mowed and then rained for a few days so I can get to it till it dries up. We have a big zereo turn mower and don't want to get it stuck.

Just wanted to get back in fold with my chickidees. Luv you all so much!!!

Marlee, So happy you are here again! I understand about feeling your life is on hold. It was that way for me from October last year to just recently. I am so glad to be back in the henhouse more often now.

I just posted on the main forum, but wanted to here as well... went to the OB today... apparently the dehydration and heat exhaustion I am constantly battling is effecting Emi. Her heart rate is way too high. Please pray for us!

Prayers going up for you Shannon and Emi.

I got that cactus as a 2 foot chunk and dropped it in the ground there. It liked it. It was to the top of the roof behind it one time and we had a very hard wind and it broke off and then it grew arms and taller and then again a big storm and it broke and I gave it all away and this is what has grown back. There are about 5 buds behind the bloom. It is a hearty little charachter, I looked it up on line and the best I could find to describe it was a saguaro.

Here is a couple more of flowers in my yard.
