Oh...... Would love to see pictures of your quilt Sherry! I so enjoy looking at other crafter's projects! It's so inspirational!

I have lots of unfinished object (UFO) myself. Maybe we ought to start a club - the UFO Farmgals! lol

Catch you later!

I found that darn block! So today, prior to going to Plattsburgh for DD figure skating, I finished my project! Breathing a sigh of relief here! Off it goes in the post tomorrow!

Tonight, I will be doing a bit of knitting. I would like to get another pair of socks done! I'm on a mission here!

Enjoy your evening everyone!

Cheers!

I have tried knitting but never tried socks, I love your socks Carole, I knitted a scarf once and knitted a little vest for my daughter when she was young.
Crocheting I have made an humungous afghan, and a smmall one and quilting I have two done up to the binding, I have done a lot of cross stitch, plastic canvas kleenex boxes, and things like that. I have a lot of projects to do if I ever can have time for them.

I love Arts and crafts in general.

Thanks Darlene. I like hand work (like knitting, Hand Embroidery etc.) because it's portable. You don't need to set up a machine etc... You can pick it up when you have a couple of minutes.

I cannot crochet! I tried it. I'm just not delicate enough. lol

Darlene you're pumpkins are so cute! Beautiful socks Carole!
My son and I took a knitting class when he was in grade school.
We learned to make hats on round needles, it was fun! I did cross stitch
for awhile, and like embroidery. I love making quilt blocks, putting the quilts all together
not so much. I have made 1 quilt and a couple of wall hangings as gifts.
I could use more time and energy to finish a few more!

A true quilter is one that has lots of UFO's (Un Finished Objects) lol! I qualify. Back in 2007 I started to keep track, by year, of everything I started and finished. It gave me a pretty good idea of what what not completed. So far so good, not too many left to finished.

I've been knitting up a storm. I want those socks for winter! lol Sadly our Yarn store went out of business this summer. I was sad to see it go. Did purchase lots of yarn socks on sale. Working on that pile. lol

Well I am about to sew up an apron for our oldest great grandson. He was cooking with his Mom preparing for Thanksgiving and asked her "Do you think Grammy would make me an apron too"? So I went to the quilt store today and got some "super hero" fabric to make him his very own apron. Love that boy sooooo much :)!

Well, last night around 10:00 p.m. I saw the cutest quilt posted on Instagram posted by a blogging friend. I just had to make it right then and now! It's a quilter thing! It is so my style! So I designed it and pieced it last night!

It's my Santa quilt! It will look great as a table topper for Santa's cookies and milk! ;o) Now to machine quilt the quilt!

So what have you been up too?

I am working on mug cozies for family and friends. Each set will get a bag of my home blended flavored coffee and cookies as well. The pattern is made up and I hope it will work on lots of different sizes and shapes of mugs. It is hard to know what everyone has.

Carol, Love, love the HoHo quilt! Is it easy :)????? I like easy! Winnie, Your little cup cozies are just the cutest! Your special blend of coffee sounds interesting too!
I have been working on a few Christmas gifts and swaps. Just made a batch of Chocolate/peanut clusters. Added some raisins to some of it for Chocolate/peanut/raisin clusters. Make them every Christmas - very easy and oh so yummy!

Well, I am going to attempt either by straight needle or knifty knotter loom........a 'tube sock type thing' for my gdaughter's recent arm cast. Super cold here and her little fingers need to be covered! Mitten/glove won't work so wish me luck!

Linda

Linda, You can do it :)! Sorry about your gdaughter's arm!
I have to get in my sewing room and clean it up - I have said it before, but I have been busy doing others things, like washing windows (inside) and re-arranging. Anyone else have the problem of needing to do one thing, and before you know it, has caused you to have to do a dozen other things! Well, that was my day today, but I feel like a lot was accomplished :)!

Thank you, Ruth! Yes, I'm with you! I seem to start several things at one time , yet I'm not at all an efficient multi-tasker . So I end up usually with more of disorganization than I started with, lol!!

Darlene, zentangle looks so awesome but looks really difficult to learn? Can't wait to see your pics!

Have a good day everyone!

Ruth, I hear you about cleaning your sewing area, you should see mine. After I've spent time tidying it up, I feel so creatively energized! Well worth the time and effort .... it's the time at the moment I need! lol

Darlene & Linda, would love to see what you are working on.

Enjoy your day everyone!

Linda,
The Zentangle is easy to do just draw what you think or from what you see I will be a while with it and then I will post it.
It really is relaxing.

Look up Zentangle on You Tube

I posted over on the Forum that I finally finished knitting my Knit for Victory Vest that I started last Fall. It was my first big project and I am happy that it actually fits and I wore it yesterday! For those of you who don't know, the American Red Cross had campaigns during WWI and WWII to knit vests in drab olive to be part of the soldier uniform in Europe during the cold months. I decided to do this same vest with the original Red Cross directions I pulled from their archives.
'

For more details, please read the original post I did called Knit for Victory.
