| Okay great, I have got a little of those parts done already, I like to do paper arts, and ATC's but this is the first time I have ever done a journal I hope you like it. |

Hi Girls...how are we doing on our Journals????
Are we having FUN yet?
I read that Nancy Jo has all but glued herself to the Journal
she is making. I know that feeling my friend...I had that same
issue with mine. LOL
But it was fun and mine went relatively easy because I had my
husband gone for a few days and I could leave my mess all over
the place until I was done. Mine has already been sent to
Tammy. That is the fun thing about being the Swap Hostess...I
had a running start.
Have Fun Girls...I can't wait to see everyone's End Project.

I received the most wonderful journal from sweet Peggy! It is just so perfect for me and my love of reading. It is a book lovers journal and not only is it decorated with adorable graphics front and back (hmmmm Peggy seems to know all the things that are ME), but the inside has sections to log and write about books I've read, books I want to read, books I've loaned, favorite authors, and much more. Peggy and I have a shared love of reading and a very very very same taste in books. Her recommendations to me are always "spot on"...they are always something I've been looking at to read, or something I've bought and been meaning to start, or something new that looks fabulous. Peggy knows that my only record of books I want to read is on my Amazon wish list, and how frustrating it is at the book store to have to keep trying to pull up Amazon on my phone and try to scroll through my wish list. Now I don't have to do that anymore!!! My wonderful journal fits in my purse :) Over the past year, I've started jotting down just on a piece of lined paper names and authors of books I've read, so I don't duplicate them. Now I can put them in my journal with notes, etc., so I am really excited to do that!
Sweet Peggy also sent me another big blank journal which I can always use for so many things, plus a package of pens in every color of the rainbow to suit my mood, napkins to use at one of my girls lunches, and some great flowers and paper clips for my crafting.
Peggy, your journal is almost finished.....I've been a bit slow with all that's been going on, but I'm getting there! This was a really fun swap, so thank you my sweet friend!!!

P.S. I tried every which way to rotate my photos. They show up fine on my computer and then when I post them they are sideways....grrrrrr!!! |

Tammy...so Happy that you liked it my Darling Friend! I thought it would be just the ticket for
replacing all those slips of paper stuck in your purse. LOL Or doing the Amazon Scroll (sounds like a
new dance!!) Hope it is as useful as I thought it would be for you. And I tried to stick with a Girlie
Theme...Since GIRLFRIENDS are what keep us Sane! Cheap Therapy and All That!
Your Pictures came out good even though side-ways. I wonder if you put them side ways to start with if
they would post the right way! LOL Try it some time...maybe it will work! Who knows! (+:

Amber, I just had to share with you real quick how much fun I am having making your journal. I had a theme all picked out and knew how I was going to make it, then you told me you were homeschooling this year, soooooooooooooooooooo, I totally changed the theme. Now it will be a more whimsical cover and theme. It takes me awhile to find my imagaination, but I know it is there, and thankfully it is working overtime for me today. Oh I am having too much fun, and I am finding I do love scrapbooking and making journals who knew?
Again, thank you Peggy for coming up with the idea of making a journal and forcing me to make something way out of this old girls comfort zone!
Did I mention how much fun I am having?

Hey Debbie...sounds like you had a Great Time with your Journal for Amber. That is what I wanted it to
be for everyone. That is also why I liked Themes...gives you a direction to take for that person who is
your partner.

I tend to want to everything I make for someone to be more personal and about them. That is why I pay such close attention to what all of you post and the information sheets that Sherry made up about each of you. That way I have all I need when I make say the Altered Journal, it was easy for me to decide how I wanted to make Amber's more personal about her and her life once I read her posts about her family and children. I just did not go with one theme, I wanted it to have meaning even if it was just a cover of a journal, so that is how I did it.

That is what we ALL should do...make our projects as personal as we can...thinking more
of the Other person...than our own personal preferences. That is why the Sheets Sherry
has done for us...come in so handy. And why getting to know each other better and better is so helpful too.

Guess what I got in the Mail. My Journal from Nancy and OMGOODNESS. I LOVE IT. Nancy I cannot believe how much work you did to make that for me. I cannot say Thank YOU enough. And to know you never made one before. You graduated to the top. It is awesome, I am so happy with it. The pictures, pockets and doing the pages fro the months of the year.
