I just got a phone call from Joan, Laura had her baby yesterday, that's right July 9th my birthday, woo hoo!
Little Evelyn Ann weighed in at 6 lbs, 9ozs. and 20 " long. Mama, Baby and Grandma are resting comfortably after a very rough and long labor.
So, let us give little Evelyn a warm Scattered Prairie Gals welcome, y'all know what to do:-)
Joan also wanted me to thank all of you for the wonderful cards and little gifts she has received, she is so touched. So, thank you all for doing what my Chickies do with so much love.
Now Joan and family wait for the next grandchild to arrive around the 8th of August. Whew! Pictures coming later I am sure.
Congratulations to Grandma and Family.

Good morning my sisters. I want to thank you all for your wishes and congratulations on our new grandbaby.
Evelyn Ann is doing well. She has already gained a few ounces
My daughter Laura is still not feeling well. The doctor gave her an antibiotic and a pain medication.
She had a very difficult delivery but she will be fine with rest and a lot of family love :)
I will keep Debbie posted on what is going on. I will be going back and forth to Laura's home to help her with the baby.

Wanted to let all of you know that Joan called me yesterday. All is well now but both new grandbabies have been sick. Little Evelyn was in the hospital for a couple of days as she had 103 temp, after many tests all they can figure out is she had some sort of virus. Her grandson was sick as well but is doing better.
Joan watches her oldest Granddaughter Hannah so she is kept quite busy.
Just wanted all of you to know that all is well now and Joan says to tell all of you hello, she will be back in the HH when life calms down, with two new grandbabies I can only imagine the fun she is having.
