Surgery went well. Went to dad's follow up on Wednesday and everything looked good. We go back in two weeks. No, bending from the waist or lifting heavier than five pounds. The only problem we have is at 88 years old he doesn't do much bending at the knees. I take the dogs out or hook them to the lead for him because of it. He has a dachshund so definitely can't reach him without squatting down. He still does do some like when he drops something and is in his chair he will reach over to get it instead of leaving it and letting me do it. He wants to do things for himself and for the most part he can. But they emphasized no straining of any kind that is why the no bending. Plus, JT and I were thinking they don't want pressure on the stitches either. He wears an eye shield at night for protection and his glasses during the day So, that is where we are. I am praying healing goes well and at his next appointment, June 3rd he gets the all clear because I am due to fly to my daughters on June 6th to babysit the granddaughters for a week.
I appreciate your continued prayers for that.
Thank you so much.

Hi gals,
Just wondered if you could keep Dad in prayer. They set his surgery up for 6 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday)morning. He is very nervous which in turn makes me nervous and a bit stressed. Would really appreciate prayers that all would go smoothly and we will get there on time. We have to leave around 5 which in turn means getting up around 4:30.

Denise, Praying that the Peace that passes all understanding will fall on you and your Dad. Also praying for the doctors and all that will be attending your Dad for wisdom, and gentleness. I am asking the Lord to put just the right people in place for you both tomorrow.
Rest tonight knowing that the Lord has this.
Looking forward to a good report tomorrow!
Hugs and prayers,
Ruth
