This is our latest project my husband worked on. Our neighbor was moving to North Carolina and couldn't take any possessions with him. He knew how I love old/antiques, he offered me first shot at his treasures. As soon as we saw this potbelly stove I knew I had to have it. It was rusty with silver paint. It didn't have the connections to actually use the potbelly. But Eric made all the necessary parts for it. Then we painted it (of course) black, which is my favorite decorating color.

Love your little pot belly stove! Can you use it for heat? Either way, I think it's a great find and a true treasure!

Joan, what a wonderful treasure and it is so cute, you did a great job redoing it. Those little antique pot belly's are becoming harder and harder to come by.
Hugs,
Debbie

Hi everyone. To reply to everyone asking if the potbelly actually works, the answer is "no". I'm upset with that, but at least it's a vocal point in my dining room.
How is everyone feeling? I've been busy trying to get out the rest of my daughters shower invitations. I actually handmade each and every one, WHAT I'M I CRAZY LOL
Anyway, talk to you all tomorrow :)

I bet those shower invitations are beautiful, how wonderful all that work you put into those.
They know how much you love them.

Have a great day Joan,

That is the cutest, tiniest little Pot-bellied stove I have ever seen.
It is just too adorable for words.

Hugs and smiles,
Peggy

How cool, it's so little and cute! Some of the old victorian houses here in town still have potbellies in their houses. They don't work so the house owners stuff them full of red cellophane, and christmas lights.
