Hi Everyone,
Thank you so much for your prayers. They are definitely being felt. I am traveling tomorrow(it's a 5 hr trip) with my brothers. Father and dh are traveling a little later. We want to head up early to see some areas and people back home. The service for my sister is an Tuesday. I have something I want to read but I don't know if I will be able to do it. Praying that I will. I would like to share it here:

"When Tomorrow Starts Without Me"

When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see.
If the sun should rise and find your eyes, all filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry, the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things we never got to say.

I know how much you love me, as much as I love you..
And each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too..
But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand..
An angel came and called my name and took me by the hand,
It seemed my place was ready - In Heaven far above,
and that I'd have to leave behind, those things I dearly love..

But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye.
For all of life, I'd always thought, I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for, so much yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you..
I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad..
I thought of all the love we shared, and how much fun we had..
If I could relive yesterday, just even for a while,
I'd say goodbye, then kiss you ‘til I saw that special smile..

But then I fully realized, that it could never be,
'Cause emptiness and memories, would take the place of me.
And when I thought of all those things, I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow. .
But when I walked through Heaven's gates, I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me, From his great & golden throne,

He said, "This is eternity, and all I've promised you.
Today your life on Earth is past, but here it starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last,
and since each day is the same day, there's no longing for the past. .
But you have been so faithful, so trusting and so true,
Though there were some times you did some things you shouldn't do. .

But you have been forgiven, and now at last you're free,
So come and take me by the hand, and share my life with me.."

hugs,
Denise~~

Thank you for sharing the beautiful prayer with us. Denise you will be fine tomorrow reading it, listen to your heart and see your sisters face, and think of all the wonderful happy times and memories you shared together, and you will not be just fine.
Know that someone in Colorado will keep you in my heart and I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
I can only imagine how hard it must be to loose a sister, I have lost a niece and a nephew, they were both in their early 40's and that was such a difficult time, but a sister, there is a closeness and a bond that no one can fill, I believe.
Safe Travels.
Hugs,
Debbie

Denise...did you write that Poem? It is just beautiful.
I write Inspirational Poetry and enjoy reading what others
write too.
Hopefully you will be able to deliver this personally.
Remember...everyone expects tears and choked-up moments.

Also remember...she is in a Happier Place. I lost my little
Sister 16 months ago...and I rejoice that she is with the Lord
and out of pain.

Love and Hugs,
Peggy

Just wanted you to know that I was able to get through the reading of the poem. My brother stood up with me and kept me going. I did not write this poem. The Pastor who conducted her service asked for a copy as he wants to use it in future funerals that he does. I considered that a compliment to my choice. It was very cold outside that day and the service was done at the cemetery. We were all freezing and I was literally shaking(shivering really)in my shoes. But the service was so honoring to God. I was just so blessed to know that my sister had made all the decisions and the sharing her husband did, I just can't tell you what it did for my heart. I will be honest, my sister and I did not always get along but I am going to miss her terribly. I think of her now being with my mom and all the godly women in our family who went before her. I am blessed to know she has seen the face of her Savior.
AND I will see her and all of them again someday.

hugs,
Denise~~

Thank you so much all for the sweet cards and for the prayers. I hope as time passes it will get easier but right now it seems so fresh and still quite unbelievable to be honest.
