Okay, it's time to let all you girls in on what is coming up for me and Mama Hen! We are leaving for our long-awaited girls trip to the Sweethearts on the Homefront Art Retreat in Atlanta. We leave on Wed., October 23 and come home on Sunday, Oct. 27. We are so excited!! Not only do I get to spend four days with my BFF, we will be going to the Country Living Fair on Friday as part of the event and spending Saturday taking three amazing classes from three awesome artists. We are taking a jewelry making class with Andrea Singarella, a vintage millinery class with one of the amazing Earth Angels artists, and the most exciting (for me) is an altered vintage style recipe book class with Jenny and Aaron of Everyday is a Holiday (two of the loveliest people in the art world). The theme for this event is Sweethearts on the Homefront which is '40's era vintage all the way....right up my alley. And, the BEST part is that ALL of the proceeds go to support our wonderful troops.
Four days in a beautiful hotel in Atlanta with my BFF to be spent dining, shopping, and creating art....life couldn't get any better!
I'm sure we will have plenty of photos and memories to share when we return :)

Whew, this has been the biggest secret I have ever kept. I wanted to be sure it was going to happen before we let everyone know. I too am so excited to spend time with my BFF, I have not seen Tammy in over a year when she came to Colorado to visit me for 4 days and boy do I miss her. I am thrilled that the event supports our troops and their families, as all I you know I am a retired Army wife and soooo patriotic, so when Tammy ask me to go with her I of course jumped at the chance. Like Tammy I love the theme of the event too, we are going to have so much fun and gosh knows this ole girl needs a girl trip of fun and relaxation.
We of course will send pictures when we can and updates.
See you in 13 days my BFF.

Fabulous! Have such a good time, and enjoy the heck out of yourselves!
I am in Sedona with my husband's family right now, and on my way home for a few days, then onto the plane to Hawaii and grandbaby.

Wow, Rain Hawaii, how wonderful. Enjoy your time with family, grandbaby, and the beautiful Hawaiian weather. I would love to go back to Hawaii, we went there for our 35th wedding anniversary in 2009, maybe we can go back for our 45th in 6 years. Have fun and send me a post card if you get time.

Tammy and Debbie...Oh my goodness girls...you are going to have a BLAST! Anytime you get
to have fun with girlfriends...is a HUGE BLESSING! And since you two declare yourselves
BFF's it doesn't get any better than that. Even if the Classes were a bust you would still
have fun just being together. BUT I am sure the Classes will be amazing. Enjoy for all of
us too!!!

Oh Tammy and Debbie, it sounds like a fun trip you two are going to really enjoy all that art.
I expect to hear all about it and see pictures after you go, I can hardly wait to see what you make there.

oh my goodness girls, that sounds like so much fun and right here by me :)! Where in Atlanta are you going to be???? Maybe we could have lunch or something while you are here. I know you will be quite busy with classes and all, but if you have time, I would love to meet up with you.
I think the Country Living Fair is at Stone Mountain Park, which is a great park with lots to do.
Have a blast girls - looking forward to lots of photos when you return. I'll be praying that we have gorgeous weather while you are here in HotLanta :)
