I found this poem or saying in my new Southwestern Cookery and Cooking Round the World Cookbook. I did not write it and do not know who did but I wanted to share it will all of you.

"Be a friend then making friends takes care of itself. To be a friend, be a friend to yourself. Be true to your highest and best and align yourself with the enduring values of life that make for growth and progress.

Believe in the inherent goodness in others and in their potential greatness.

Practice the magic of words that your speech may build and not destroy, help and not hinder.

To be a friend, remember that we are human magnets; that like attracts like, and that what we give we get.

Hugs,
Debbie

Debbie...thanks for Sharing That Poem. Great thought in each line.

My Husband has always told me that his Mother said that same thing about Friendship
when he was a kid growing up. "If You Want A Friend...You Have To Be A Friend First!"

So, true and we are drawn to those types up people and that is why we ended up in our
Mama Debbie's Hen House.

Love and Blessings,
Peggy

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, and thank him for what he has done.
Philippians 4:6

Just follow God unquestioningly.
Because you love Him so, for if you trust His judgment there is nothing you need to know.
