In the latest issue of Create & Decorate (July/August 2013) there is an project on "Mason jar makeover". I love Mason jars, well all canning jars especially antique ones. Have fun everyone!

Carole, They make so many things now for mason jars ... and out of them ... I have a TON of the old ones I display!

Terri,
Yep, seems they are coming back in style! I have since gotten rid of my plastic container (from my Tupperware phase) and now use canning jar to store everything. I certainly do not trust the old Tupperware for hot leftovers. At the time they did not know about the chemical properties of plastics and food contamination.
Sitting here contemplating life to the sound of rain. Seems I am surrended by friends and neighbours who are experiencing some form of illness that I feel is related to our environment/lifestyle choices, whether within our control or not. It is all to close for comfort. I am so with the Mary Jane philosophy - back to the basics!
Time to start getting ready for work! Enjoy the day everyone! Cheers!

Yep,it really make you wonder how people lived or still live to be 90 100+ years old. Know all we know now, chemicals, pollutants. I have never like plastic ... and have had this weird habit ... I will NOT drink out of plastic cups. This is strange, but I don't like the taste of things in it ... It may just be me. Hubby makes fun of me, cause I drink from a mason jar ... LOL he says that they make "real" glasses! It just feels right in my hand, what can I say ...

Teri, that is too funny...I hate plastic cups and cans too. I only like glasses...including mason jars!

I think you're in good company! I do not like to drink anything out of a plastic. Glass all the way! BTW, I do not like water in a coffee cup. It just doesn't taste like water! Cheers!
