I am so happy Julie that you and Brenda will join the swap, I am going to email some of the other chicks and see if they will join as well.
Getting ready to announce our newest member from afar.

Debbie, I am so looking forward to this swap! I have not done a swap in quite a while...too many flaky partners and people trying to make too many arbitrary rules. I actually just saw a thread for a swap that said "ABSOLUTELY NO TUCK-IN'S"!! Are you kidding me....can't imagine what kind of farmgirl this person must be (besides a bossy one) to put restrictions on a fun swap...Wow! Glad you are our Mama Hen...think I will stick to SPG swaps only from now on!!!

Big Hugs,

Tammy

I wouldn't even know what a "tuck-ins" is if I saw one. KIS is my motto! Cheers!

Debbie, things are coming up that I just don't think I'll be able to share in the swap. Sorry for the late notice. I hope you haven't already made the list out. Hopefully next time I can have fun with all of you. I'm going to be busy with mom and don't want to be committed right now. Have fun! I know you will! Hugs, Brenda

Teri, it made me laugh too! So ridiculous it is funny....I picture a big mean lady in a uniform slapping everyone's wrist with a ruler and saying "NO TUCK-IN'S OR ELSE". Well, we can giggle together :)

I think the lady meant well with the no tuck ins. The swaps a couple years ago were much simpler, I know I've hosted ones that were simply a card, tea, and a letter, maybe 50-75 cents in postage? I also asked that it stay simple as that? Many, many farmgirls are older and on fixed incomes, many are young and just starting out with limited incomes. Several farmgirls that joined my swap thanked me for keeping it easy and simple so they could participate, some for time or income limits.
The tuck ins are fun and a joy both to give and receive, but they can be overwhelming when trying to stay on a budget and only have so much to spend on the swap and costs of mailing.

Linda

LoL Tuck cops! OMGosh! really, this tuck thing has taken on a life all it's own.
I really do understand that some farm girls may not be able to afford it ... But to say you CAN'T just makes me think there is just way to much control for me.
Seriously, tho ... If money is an issue then set a dollar amount with shipping included.
I mean the theme swaps are nice, but some of them are just so repetitious is sickening!
And, it is almost as tho, this one is trying to out do this one in the swap hosting dept ...
You know I have been on MJF for just about a year now, and I can tell you that, for me it really is evolving into a big HIGH SCHOOL so to speak, to much drama, to much whinning ...
anywho, there are a few people on the other side (MJF) that I still like to chat with so I go there once in a while ... but, It is getting to the point that I don't even want to go there (the dark side) any longer ...

I definitely would push the "Like" button for Marlee and Sherry it would to be so funny.
hugs

Tuck aren't mandatory just lovingly done, I love it if someone does it for me when I get a package and I love it if it is just exactly what the swap was for. I love doing it for someone if I can but don't feel I have to do it if I can't afford to at the time. Just love doing swaps with all my loving friends and making them feel good because then I really feel good.

hugs and love to you all

Hi My Friends...You Guys Always Just Crack Me UP. The comments remind me of a book series My Book Group has been
reading...and there is this really Whinie High School chick in the book...and all of us just yelled..."Enough of the
Whining ALREADY!!!" And yes, we did scream it together. It was so stinking funny!

Anyway...I am on here to sign up for the 4th of July Swap. I can't mail out until the 24 of the month...as I only get
paid once a month a month. But I look forward to it.

Love and hugs,
Peggy
