We are now home. I posted an updated on the forum as CJ indicated. It's been a heck of a few weeks, but both of us are doing good. Lots of followups to come, but no one thinks any long term issues, except maybe my shoulder blades as I figure out how to do this. ha!.

Good to hear you are home! Good to hear things are going more smoothly! I wish I could run up there and help you out but I'm hoping your mom and niece are still able to assist. There's nothing like a baby to CHANGE your life!!! So, get as much rest as you can, and just enjoy him while he's itty-bitty!
I certainly know how it can be. My daughter was a long, hard delivery . . 40 years ago! While my son's delivery was easier and much quicker he was a "blue baby", had to be transferred to NICU, be treated in all manner of ways and there was a lot of stress . . . well, it was a long haul. He has Down Syndrome (which we didn't know until he was born . . . that was before amniocentesis and/or ultrasounds) So, I can certainly relate . . even those it was 1973 when he was born.
Take care of you! Take advantage of every chance to rest, relax . . don't hesitate to ask for help! Take care! CJ

Dear Laurie,
I'm so glad to hear you and Wyatt are home! I can tell you there are special perks to being an "older" mom. (I had my first son at 40 and my second at 43.) Congratulations!
Sincerely,
Rali |

It's great news that you are home! Now it's time to settle in and adjust to the "new normal" in your life. I hope that you heal quickly and enjoy your baby!

Hi Laurie, CeeJay put me on to the fact that my replies weren't posting here because I had to re-login. So: I sent you a note under the "Family Matters" forum...I have a batch of food for your family in the freezer to drop off whenever you would like, no pressure on any level, and you don't have to talk or show off Wyatt. So call or email directions and I can deliver. I am so glad you are home and life is adjusting to the miracle of a baby in the house! take care, Rain 399-7865 527-8219
