Hi Ladies,
Was just wondering how everyone is doing? I know so many of us are dealing with exessive HEAT, family difficulties, health issues and at like. Hope that each of you are doing fairly well with whatever you might be dealing with.

Has anyone been able to take a trip, vacation? How was it?

Take care and try to stay cool everyone!

Blessings,
Linda

I am doing fine; just trying to keep cool. School starts the 17th and I have some in-service some days before that. Hopefully, my mother will be coming to visit next week. My neice who had had leukemia and a double lung transplant passed away June 13th. She is out of pain now. I've been to Oklahoma on a SOTF meetup and Kenny and I spent a week in Arkansas. We spent four of those evenings in a yurt.

I'm doing good. Haven't been on vacation yet.If we go anywhere, it will be in the fall, when it is cooler. When I was younger, the heat didn't bother me so much like it does now. Got through mowing the lawn, it took two and a half hours. But it looks so nice.

Katherine I am so sorry about your neice.

This has been a hot summer and not much rain ,even the grass waas drying up to brown, but we had a few days of rain and now it jumped a foot . Hence mowing this morning. Have a Happy Day!

I am doing fine too other than the normal knee issues. Like everywhere else it has been unusually hot here in Colorado. We are not use to this kind of heat and there are no air conditioners here in the mountains, so we have lots of fans which help.
Did manage to get to Daytona Beach to visit my 86 year old Aunt I had not seen in many years. Then took my son (35) on to Savannah, he had not been there since he graduated from high school and we left after my husband retired from the army (1996). We lived there 10 years so it is home to my son, we visited friends as well. It was hot but we loved being there and seeing how things have changed, we enjoyed the beach so much as well. As much as I love living in the mountains oh I miss the beach, wish I could have them both. So, that is it for awhile now I play catch up.
Good to hear from everyone.
Farmgirl Hugs,
Debbie

Kathy, so very sorry about your niece. Marlene! Welcome to the henhouse, so glad to have you here. Debbie, I hear ya! I miss the coastline and beaches so much! I am learning to find new things, the lakes and parks! In Calif, Santa Barbara area, you get mtns and ocean! Amazing there! Amy (Pumpkinvine) is from that area. Its beautiful! My families summer has been rough. Thankfully its about to get better. My mom is recovered enough from her surgery to leave my daughters and return home. My mom has mental illness issues and sadly having her around a lot has been very hard on everyone, especially my DD and Gkids! Its a relief that its coming to its 2 1/2 month end. There have been job changes, job losses, deployment, and in early summer 3 deaths of extended family members. Ladies, it has been a rough season. Times honestly we were hanging on by a thread and prayer!! Really anxious for the fall to arrive and so hoping for a fresh start of new and better things and God's strength and blessings!! Hope everyone is having a good weekend and are staying cool!!! Blessings, linda
