Hi Everyone! Well, my computer still down due to many bad viruses. I am using my son in law's at this moment for awhile. Hope to get the next newsletter out in about 10 days. Any stories, thoughts, quotes, recipes you may want to share? Please do so. Many of you seem to have kind of dropped off the Mary Jane radar! If there is not that much interest any longer, please let Brenda or I know ok?
We totally understand that much of life gets in the way sometimes. Yet we do not want to keep bothering or emailing things to those who have moved on or have dropped out. So, if you get a chance, let one of us know. That would be appreciated.
Hope all of you are well and beginning to enjoy a spring like weather!!! It is more fall here in Ks, but it has been lovely the past few days.
Hugs and God Bless to All!!
Linda

Linda I do hope that all the others want to remain active, but I do know what it's like to be so busy with family that its hard to keep up. I have found I'm not real good as a leader and if someone else would like to help, I'm open to it.Have a good evening ladies. I just got back from church, GD is earning money for mission trip with her group and I had no luck with the cake walk. But had alot of fun.

We are here too, Debbie! Many of the ladies aren't on the forums much lately, and thats ok, things happen. Just dont want to bother or add stress if they are busy and unable to be involved any longer. Thank you Debbie!

I'm not on much but I do want to continue. I might be able to be on more in the summer.

I'm still around though not online all that much these days. I'm somewhat overwhelmed with everything that's going on around here lately. As some of you all already know, I have lupus, fibromyalgia, and chronic kidney disease. I was on disability several years ago, but changed to a different doctor who changed my kidney medication...long story short, I was able to eventually return to college and finish my nursing degree and go back to work.
Long story...Over the past few months since my surgeries, all this chronic stuff has started to rear it's ugly head again and I have not yet been able to return to work as a registered nurse. I have future reconstructive surgeries coming up soon and because of the previous surgeries, I am not able to lift much or raise my hands above my head, not to mention that there's still a considerable amount of discomfort from that on top of the other chronic stuff. I had applied for federal disability again since the kidneys aren't doing so great now either and, of course, was DENIED. I got an attorney who filed an appeal and we were told the judge won't even *look* at it until I've been off work for at least 1 year unless I'm terminal and not expected to live for a year. Thank God that's not the case as far as I know! However, now I'm being told (by more than one attorney) that even if an appeal is granted, which is not always the case, it will be from 18 to 24 months after THAT before my case will be heard in court. The reason it's taking so long to get into court? So many Americans are out of work these days that the number of folks applying for federal disability has skyrocketed and the courts are over-loaded.
The reality is that financially we aren't going to be able to make it on only 1 income for much more than a year. My husband and I both have chronic issues and our combined medication and co-pays per month are steep. We've cut expenses just about everywhere else we can. I'm going to have to try and find work that I can do and return to the work. Pretty much all I've done for the last 8 years is hospital nursing and physically I can no longer do that. I've been looking for a job as an "office" nurse for about 3 years now without luck. So, while I will continue looking for a nurse job that I can do, I will probably take whatever is offered if it's something I can do, nurse-related or not. DH and DS help with the housework already, but I've already warned them that when I get a job, there "a'int gonna be much cleanin' goin' on" from me, and they can forget about a hot meal every night! lol!
Anyway, I know it's not the end of the world and I know that as long as DH, DS, and I have each other, we'll be okay. I didn't post this looking for sympathy, money, gifts, etc. I just needed to vent. To be honest, I don't know how much I'm going to be able to be online. The house stuff is pretty much taken care of now, but I'm going to be job hunting. I would like to be able to continue with the Scattered Prairie Gals and I'm sorry that I haven't been able to contribute much since I joined. Also sorry the post was so long, but thanks for putting up with my rant! See what you've started Linda!!! ha!

Ladies, as we hear from some of you, either on forum or email, its what we kind of thought? So much is going on with 'life' these days! As Brenda said, no pressure! We dont want to add to lifes pressures with emails, etc that maybe some would rather not receive for now? Anytime, any of you need to share, vent etc... Know there are farmgirl sister friends here and on the MJF forums. Many are or have been in similar situations and are a wonderful support system for each other. Susan, we are thinking and praying for you! I hope things get better soon and please know we are all here. Thank you for sharing with us. Take care, linda

Girl, Keep me in the loop. Have had alot on my plate lately, been in and out of hospital then the next week DH went in with life threatening clots he is doing much better now and back home. I was driving back and forth to Wichita for about a week, that's a 120 miles a day for me, I not use to doing that. But things are starting to get back to normal. Connie
