Lady's Linda and I had a good conversation yesterday about getting more activities going with the henhouse. We are so sorry that we haven't been as with it as we should. Henhouse is right up there close to the top on our priority list. We thought that we could do a swap. We are all doing our scrapbook pages (you can send new ones at any time). For our new girls, we are doing 8 1/2x11 pages and putting up pics and sharing who we are and what we are interested in. Then you can mail them to me. And then we'll get copies to everyone. So~~~We thought it would be fun to have a handmade scrapebook swap. We could use cardboard, chipboard, or a heavy cardstock for the front and back. Cover with fabric or scrapbook paper. I'd cut it 9x11 1/2. Punch 3 holes on the side and get the rings to hold it together. Decorate them as you want. So this is to see how many would be interested. I have updates to do on the member list and will try to get it off to all of you by the weekend. And girls I promise we are going to try to do better. If you have suggestions, please offer them to us. All of you and our little henhouse is special to us and we want it to be fun and a place to share. So please let me know if anyone is interested in the swap.Hugs, Brenda and Linda

You know to count me in on this one!!! Yes, ladies, it has been a LONG last year with one thing and another doing on in both our lives, as I am sure with many of you as well. It is a new year and we hope to be more on top of things, and God willing, not so many life issues in the way!! OK, that being said, who else is on board for this swap and the Valentine's swap?

I too would love to join in the swap. As soon as I can get home ! lol ! I am snowed in at my daughters house near KC. Not a bad thing as loving the time with them and my grandbabies. But I sure couldn't bring all of my art supplies with me ! lol !! So..soon as I can get home safely I will get busy on my scrapbook page and start one for the swap as well ! Hugs and prayers you all are safe and warm !!

I can't wait to get started on making my scrapbook for the swap too! This will be fun. Kristy I'm at my daughters right now too, staying with the grandkids. I was able to bring my valentine fixing with me so that's what Macee and I are going to do. Not sure what she'll come up with, but we are going to have fun. If you are near KC you are close to me. Wish we could meet up. But right now I don't think any of us are going too far.

Hope everyone is doing ok with the storms that went thru. Goodness!! Here in Wichita, we got it a bit easier than many of you did. But I too, am staying close to home. Roads too icy still to take a chance I think. That ok, using our farmgirl spirit, we can hunker down!! LOL! Be safe, and have a great day!

Count me in on the swap. I have made picture albums using 3-ring notebooks and then page protectors. They come in page size or picture sizes. Anyway that is just a suggestion. Connie

Girls do we want to make them all the same or everyone just do what they are comfortable working with. Using the 3 ring notebooks would be easier. What do you all think???

I think it may be easier and less expensive on everyone to mail the cardstock covers?

Any more of you want to join in on this one? If not, then go ahead and make the covers for yourselves to keep. Those that still want in, how about we mail them out mid-April? That sound ok to everyone? Brenda and I will post who you mail yours to on April 1st, ok? We are trying to get it worked out so that everyone can copy the scrapbook pages that Brenda scanned and sent to all of you. Most had trouble getting the files to open up to copy them. For all of you that are new to us. Brenda will send the pages via email to you as well, once we are sure you can get them opened.

Ok girls !! I have been MIA... Sorry I have been having a rough time again. Depressed as my pain has been off the charts and having to take my pain meds often. I hate it, but it is part of my life !! Sooo... I am confused I guess on the swap. We are to make our own covers..8 1/2 by 11 ? Three ring binder style? Then we are to make pages about us to trade ? Just need clarification...living in a fog !! LOL !! So excited...whatever we do !!!

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to do the scrapbook right now either. Things are crazy around here which is why I don't get time to read the forums until really late at night or really early in the morning. I just have waaaaay too much to get done in a short period of time, plus when I caught the flu and was down for 3 weeks, I got behind on 1 swap and 2 barters! I sent one out yesterday and the other two will be going out on Monday. I so HATE that this has happened. It's not fair to those sitting and waiting for their items to arrive and I feel so awful about the delays! Honestly, I guess I've gotten overwhelmed with all the barters and swaps that I signed up for all at once and then found out we're going to have to move into my husband's ex's house because she can no longer make the house payments (her mother became very very sick, almost died and Greg's ex can no longer pay for the house and for her mother's house too so we're gonna take over the house and she's going to move in with her mother to take care of her until she passes. It's a sad situation all around. I feel so badly for his ex too. She has so much to deal with in her family right now...her little boy has had a lot of problems and surgeries, her teenage daughter has some pretty bad panic attacks and now her mother is dying...Plus they will all be living there together in her mothers home. It's going to be difficult for them...God bless them
