I'm busy the 2nd Saturday of the month. It is our annual town festival. Any other weekend is fine with me.

Linda/Brenda:

I finished my radiation treatment on the 26th of July - 6 weeks - took my summer. I am being told - doing good. So now I am trying to get into a swing of things.

So this activity sounds like I would love to attend.

Its good to hear from everyone and hope all are doing well. So glad radiation went well for you Vi. Pendleton Farms looks to be really nice. Check out the workshops while you are there. I'd be real interested in the gourd class. And I would probably need to let them know if we have anyone interested. I know that with the way finance's are right now it may not work out this time. But it will be beautiful that time of year and just to enjoy all the colors of the leaves and pumpkins and just get to know each other will be wonderful. And I'm sure if the family comes with you they will have a good time also. We'll talk later. Hugs, Brenda

Great Katherine I'm so glad you may be able to meet up with us. Were planning it to be a family affair. So if you have anyone that wants to join you, the more the merrier. Well get details all planned out soon. Have you gone to the sight? I really think it will be really nice.

Have any plans been made to what time we might meet. I may need to stay overnight at least one evening and may be two. Also, I am willing to carpool with anyone from the Wichita area and share a room. I don't think my husband will be going.

I'm trying to see if I can make it on Nov 6th. My daughter is trying to clear her time that weekend, my husband has no desire to go, so that leaves me up in the air. I thought about going up on Friday evening after 5:00pm (when my daughter gets off work spending the night and meeting up with the group for Pendelton's. Does anyone know where they will be staying (motel) in Lawrence? Connie

Connie, I am not certain, I may or may not go the day before. Just not sure as yet myself. Will look into motels and have Brenda get an idea at her end. Blessings, Linda

Beverly, yes Nov.6th is the date. I'd be afried to go much later, you know Kansas/Missouri weather, you never know when the pretty white snow will decide to fall. And it shouldn't be to awfully cold. Hugs, Brenda

I've been looking at motels and most have no vacancies that Friday and Saturday. Connie, I was thinking about going up on Friday evening.

Girls DH just told me that there's a MU game that day at 1:00. I'm sure thats why there are no motels. How many of you are planning to stay in town? I'm going to talk with Pendleton's today and see where they would suggest would be a good place. Hugs, Brenda

Kathy you would be welcome to ride up with us if you want. I have the van and it has heated front and back seats. I love them as they sure help my joints and Trisha ( my daughter) has problems with hers also.

I am looking into a small town nearby the country market for motels. The people at Pendleton's suggested to try there since everything seems booked up due to football game. Will post back later today regarding that.

Ladies Linda has asked me to let you know to check out the Super 8 motel in Desoto, Kans. The lady at Pendletons suggested that they usually have openings when there are none in Lawerence. It's about 10 from the Pendleton Country Farm. If you have problems booking there please let us know. Hugs, Brenda
