Good Morning Ladies! How are the scrapbook pages coming along? Anyone starting the 'green shopping' badges yet? It has been a bit crazy with Brenda on the mend. But lets not lose touch with each other. Blessings for a great day! Linda

Ok everyone, I'm looking forward to some scrapbook pages to be coming in here! HAHAHA No really take your time, and just have fun with them. I need to find out about the badge work.

I already have several reusable grocery bags from the grocery store I use. I did buy some to decorate. I plan to use them for other places than the grocery store. I will be sending my scrapbook page soon.

Kathy, I want to do that too. Saw some at Hobby Lobby. Thought down the road it would be fun to do some stenciling on them. I have the store ones too. Ashamed to say I keep forgetting to put them back into the trunk! I am a work in progress! Lol! The thing is, as my daughter and I were talking about yesterday-I tended to be 'green' and organic LONG before it became cool and trendy. I have always loved the country and the thought of having things as close to the way God intended as we can do. Kathy, what do you know about the farmers market here in Wichita? Is there a lot of produce to choose from?

Linda, I have never been to the Wichita farmer's market. I have been to the one in Winfield which is only during the summer. I have to admit I don't buy a lot of vegetables at it because my family is very picky. My husband likes sandhill plum jelly and we have found it at the farmer's market. I have thought about trying to get some crafts made up to sell but I don't know if I could do it every week and get enough stuff made. I occasionally make and decorate bags for a organization called Care Bags for Kids. They fill the bags with stuff for children all over the world who experience some sort of crisis.

Kathy, that sounds awesome. Will have to check that out. One of my daughters has a heart for Haiti and supports a orphan ministry there called Dawnita's Children. She hopes to eventually go there to volunteer.

My church supports an orphanage called "The Big House" in Le Caye and a team is down there right now building a classroom, etc.

I went to Goodwill in Ark City and found several denium garments that I can recycle into totes and I have enough to make me a vest to put my badges on. I got all of that washed and dryed today, and more laundry besides. I got a turkey out and cooked that today it's been in the freezer and needed to be cooked I'm trying to use what I have in the freezer before fresh veggies start coming on. I also made a big pot of chicken gumbo. My youngest daughter (Trisha) was wanting her Grandma's recipe and I couldn't find it so decided to just make a pot and write down what I put in. My middle daughter (melissa) stopped by and tasted the gumbo and said it was just like Grandma's, so now I have the recipe to pass on to my girls. I use to try and can it, but it never lasted that long. Connie

Linda I received the chapter certificate and other things thank so much. I'm sending you a check to help cover mailing expenses, I suppose we need to think of how we can have money for these type of things. We can't put that burden on one or two people. I want to thank you and Brenda for all you have done to get our chapter up and going. I'm so loving doing all the things on MJF and getting to know all of you wonderful new friends. Connie

I believe only the designated "head hen(s)" can post on the Bulletin Board so if you've been trying to respond to the online tea party there, that may be part of the trouble some of you are having posting. Let me know if that is incorrect.

Well girls it seams that this is the only place that will let me post in our henhouse. Can not get in the member bios or other areas where more then just Linda or Brenda are posting. Not so sure I like the farmhouse, henhouse area of the web site. To me it is not friendly and I do not have the time right now to mess with it. Brain told me only the head person could set me up. Great but to me this is a mess. Lilly

Lilly, I am so sorry this has been hard for you. I just dont understand. Megan and Brian put everyone 'into' the henhouse. A list of everyones names, including yours, was registered in successfully, according to Megan. There was a clarification needed on one of the gals but it was not you and it was taken care of. Brenda emailed me and we both feel bad about this. Let us know what you want or dont want to do??!! Linda
