Chris - in my neck of the woods the beach is the lake LOL! I can only imagine the wildlife you've seen at the public pool - I love your sense of humor!
Would you rather travel back in time or into the future? This is a tough one for me because I'd love to experience a wagon train headed west! But, I'm really curious where we're headed with all the AI and other tech. I can read about wagon trains and learn what they were like, but I won't be around in 100 years to see what happens. I guess I'm going to the future! |

I want to go back to Little House on the Prairies Day, just to experience what the Ingalls did. But the one thing I would miss for sure is a hot bubble bath! |

I agree Debbie about the bubble baths!! This is a tough one, I’ve always said I wanted to go back in time to the early settlers, but then you see movies and documentaries about how tough it was. Maybe I will choose to visit the future so I can see my grandchildren all grown up. I don’t have any yet, so it will have to be far into the future. |

Haha, I'm with you, Wanda, curious to see how the kid/grandkids (?) turn out-- far, FAR into the future! We've been watching the Back to the Future series with the 6 year old for Movie Mondays. But I did love reading Little House, playing Oregon Trail, and watching Dr. Quinn as a kid myself so if I had the constitutional toughness to not die of dysentery back then, I think it would be fun.
The book I'm reading now (Braiding Sweetgrass) mentioned some indigenous cultures thought of time paying out as a spiral rather than a straight line, the cyclical nature of things was more influential. So maybe from that perspective, some points in the past and points in the future aren't so very far apart. |
