Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for what he has done. Philippians 4:6
Just follow God unquestioningly. Because you love Him so, for if you trust His judgment there is nothing you need to know.

When I was in California I had - for a while - a 6-burner robins egg blue enameled cast iron cookstove with the warming ovens, a 20-gallon water reservoir, and a nice-sized oven. My first husband had it and kept it when we divorced, but do not know where it is now. It was a beauty and I wish I still had it, though I do not know where we would put it. LOL! |

Denise, that stove does look a lot like mine. It is from the 1930s and was a 4 burner gas stove with a small oven. Sadly, it sat out on somebody's front porch in north Georgia and there is rust on the front and the oven area is badly rusted. It would be easy to attach a gas tank to the line that would serve the 4 burners, but I don't have a hood to take away smoke etc. so I have never tried doing it. I tried looking into getting it repaired and the closest place down here was in Georgia, but would have been expensive to do . So I just use it like this photo shows as a vintage kitchen display and enjoy it every day!

Where is everyone?
Summer is definitely here, at least IMHO. Temps are in the 90s with heat indexes over 100, and the rains seems to keep missing our little plot of land. LOL! And it is HUMID. And every morning I wake up with at least one more mosquito or other critter bite. They just love me so much.
Last night I paid the deposits for 2 cruises - one in December and one in January. In December we leave on a MSC cruise from Galveston and go to Costa Maya, Roatan Honduras, and Cozumel. In January we are on a 17-day Viking Ocean cruise and leave from Buenos Aires, Argentina; go around the southern tip of South America; and return from Santiago, Chile. Itwill be nice to get away.
We do not know if our September trip to Egypt and Jordan will get cancelled. We hope not. Fingers crossed it doesn't, but we won't know for quite a while yet.
Anyone else have any vacation plans this summer? |

I can’t believe June is over! :) 2025 is flying by! :)
No real plans for this summer. John and I were planning a trip to WA DC in August (John’s work related) but he was told that he would need to attend a different meeting during that time frame. It will be a local meeting. So no DC in August which is ok with me because I think it would be WAY too hot! :) We are hoping to get away for a weekend in August to celebrate our anniversary. Other than that. No real plans. Since both of my daughters are teachers, (and I help them in their classrooms before school starts) ,John and I don’t vacation in August, but we will be headed to the Washington Coast in October for vacation. |

We are trying to decide on a semi-long roadtrip sometimme in the next month or 2 - or maybe book a short cruise around my birthday in August.
I have been staying indoors and sewing quite a bit - cooler inside than outside.
One of my twin grandsons was here Friday-Saturday-Sunday helping Ed at the farm. He is working on our older Tracker and it will be his when he gets his license. He has his learners permit now, but it will be a while before he get's his license. Insurance is so expensive for boys under 26? I think. He still has some changes to make to the Tracker. Ed also has a parts Tracker; it has the plastic/fiberglass top and the one we have here at the house has the canvas/vinyl soft top. He is going to change the tops and possibly the seats, though neither set is too bad. I think he is having a good time learning some car mechanics from Ed. This past weekend they changed out the Master Cylinder and had to bleed the brakes. It was so funny - Ed kept saying "breed the blakes" - every time. LOL! |
