I was just thinking about all the different crafting there is out there and was wondering what types of crafts you all enjoy doing/ making.
I have numerous things I enjoy. Quilting, embroidery, cross stitch, crochet, knitting, sewing, diamond painting, slow stitching, making journals and cards. There are lots of thing I want to try but these are what I enjoy most.

What about you?

I have enjoyed so many crafts: Ceramics, stained glass, woodworking, cake decorating, fabric painting, photography, embroidery, some crochet, quilting, making costumes, beadwork, paper crafting, and I even have a tiny pine needle basket I made. Probably more that I can't remember just now. With both wrists/hands and one thumb in braces 24/7 there is not much I can do anymore but I still piece quilt tops for charity. There are ladies in my guild that have longarm machines for doing the quilting.

Oh my I do love crafting,
So many! I have done sewing, making cards and ATC Cards, I have done some quilting embroidery, cross stitching, painting,
Painting rocks, I got into that when I was in the last Care facility after my knee surgery!
Photography, that I love especially with the regular camera..
Making cards. ATC’s, tie died scarves, that was fun.
What is slow stitching? Never heard of that one?
And lots more.
Hugs
Darlene

I love love love crafting. My favorites are quilting, crochet, knitting, general sewing for gifts/swaps/selling, embroidery, cross stitch, needlepoint, and other needlcrafts. I still have a lot of rubber stamps, inks, and tools for card making, but haven't done much of that in quite a long time. I often finnd a new idea for a project on Pinterest and want to try it, too. LOL!

Thanks, Denise, for the you-tube link on slow stitching. I was wondering what it was, myself. I will look at that.

I love all kinds of crafting…quilting, some basic sewing, paper crafting, of course, is my favorite! I tried felting and didn’t care for it. I’m enjoying craft painting and decoupaging right now, painting furniture, beading, embroidery, slow stitching, coloring… that’s all I can think of right now! :)

I to love to craft. I started out learning to sew with my Granny. When I would spend the summers with her. So I feel like I have always sewed. Cloths for my girls, quilts and crafts, pillows, bags, tried a little bit of everything. But I do like my paper crafting too. Worked at a scrapbook store for about 6 years and really got into the love of paper and ink. And then on the other hand I love to bake. Cookies, cakes, pies and fudge. I do cook to love trying new recipes. Do some wood working with my husband. I like to try new things some I like and some I'm not to good at but I like to try. Like to make jelly from blackberry that we pick ourselves. Made a batch on Monday.

Oh my goodness! Yes there are so many! I like to try new crafts which leads to so many supplies. I like ribbon embroidery, sewing, crochet. My former hobby was porcelain doll making. Now I'm working on dressing all those dolls! Outfits, hats, shoes, socks.
I tried crushed glass art - painting and adding glass and beads then putting resin on top. Decided I'm not so great at the painting part. The first project went good, it was Christmas trees and I only painted the background, the rest was crushed glass and beads.

Crafting has been a part of my life form many years. While I am no expert in any of them, I enjoy simple projects for seasonal celebrations the best.

I have not done ANY crafting since we returned from the cruise. Sometimes crafting is put on the back burner, like now, it seems, and that is not good. I love crafting as a stress reliever. Of course, when a project sometimes gets a glitch, it brings more stress. LOL!

I used to love needlepoint. I have a large one I would take with me to doctor and dentist appointments, meetings, and anywhere else I would be sitting for a while. My then husband bet me $10 I would never finish it. It took 10 years but I did finish it. He didn't pay up.

I enjoy fabric crafts: quilting, clothing, and miscellaneous items for swaps, gifts, and sales. I also really enjoyed crocheting this past year. I made a lot of crocheted cowls that I used as gifts and to add to my sales projects.

I used to do more embroidery, cross stitch and needlepoint, but haven't done as much of them in recent years. I do enjoy embroidery and want to start doing some small projects again.

Here is a project Ed and I just partially finished - at least 1 of the 2 is done.

I saw 2 identical child rocking chairs at a local estate sale. The woman there said they were hers and her sisters, and the first day of the sale they were sitting in the garage and she said they weren't for sale and she didn't want to sell them. We went back the next day and I asked again, and said I'd like to freshen them up for my newest grandson, Dawson, and have one at our house and one at his. She said she would think about it and we exchanged phone numbers. She called a few days later and said she would sell them and I went over and bought them. I think I made a great deal - $40 for the both of them.

Richard, one of my 17 YO grandsons was over helping Ed with some projects last week and he sanded and stained both rocking chairs - 2 coats. After he left, Ed sanded once more and restained. I had taken the measurements and bought 2" foam chair cushions and 1" foam pieces for the back. I recovered one set - so far - in Dallas Mavericks fabric, leftover from the Mavericks baby quilt I made for Dawson. Here is a picture of the chairs - I will make the cushions and back pad for the other in a few days. I'm trying to figure out what print fabric - may have to buy new fabric? LOL! I'm thinking of maybe a car print, since Ed loves cars.

Awesome! I have one of those exact chairs that was mine when I was little. I use chair cushions that tie on for the seat and back. All of my grandchildren have used it. When it got to Peter he claimed it was his and the girls couldn't use it. Lol. He didn't know they had all had their turn.

Denise -

Lol! Yep! You had the same chair. It is very well made.

The seat cushion has no ties, but I may add them at the back; that would be easy to do. I thought about it and Ed said we didn’t need them. The back cushion has large buttons with a buttonholed strap.
