Heather posted a picture of two of her cows and I called them a herd so that got me thinking. Did you know a group of crows is called "a murder of crows"? I wonder who came up with that name. As a lover and writer of cozy mysteries that name seems to fit crows just fine. I may try to work that into one of my stories.

I knew about the crows as they are a favorite bird of mine. Did you know a group of rabbits is also called a herd?

I can see a herd of Jack rabbits but a herd of cotton tails seems a little silly to me. lol

Oops, a herd of rabbits is a group of them that live together, otherwise they are known as a colony. Sorry for the mistake.

I was thrilled to find there are ravens here where we live now. Never saw then in NJ but we had tons of crows there. I am always trying to buy unshelled peanuts for them.

I didn't know that about crows. I guess I would think as a bird they would be a flock. I didn't know about a colony of rabbits either. I love little tid bits like this. Thanks for sharing Sara.

I have been enjoying a Crow family and now 2 sets of young crows from the past. My original Crow, I named him Crow Friend, comes to see me often with his Bride that I named Crowette. Then there are one to two of the offspring that come about every day. I toss them dried peanuts on our carport roof and they love them!!

Denise, that’s so cool that you have crows to watch! We feed our crows peanuts too. But the squirrels can also get to them. We tried some cat food but the cats that live behind us found that too! Lol
Oh Winnie!!! That’s what I would love…to have a crow or two that would “claim” me!! Lol. How special to see their babies! :)

I wouldn't do the cat food either due to it being a favorite of racoons too. We have seen them around and I don't want them to stay. I am surprised that we have had deer come to our yard as there are houses all around us. It is a very quiet area though.

Hi I am not sure where to post this. I remember that once there was a post about women hair, like growing it long leaving it gray. if it is still out there and any one knows where could you let me know.
I have fine hair but notice that it is separating in the back, my hubby made a remark that I was going bald, I got very upset. I told my sister who is a hair stylist and she said that I have fine hair and it is because of the part I had like forever and that I sleep on my back all these years is contributing to the separation. she lives to far away to have her do anything for me. Does any one else have this problem or know what I can do about it?

Sheila, earlier this year Brian cleaned house and deleted a lot of the old posts. The post about hair was probably one of them. I have thinning short silver hair and use Aussie volume shampoo.

Does any one know who posted the picture of the kitchen 2 tier round tray it was a metal one they decorated for each holiday. I would like to see it a again, I have a copper one and would like to do that to mine. Thank you.
