Jean that was going to be my question...is that all?
I'm glad I read on.
I have lots of tubs of scraps. But tomorrow or Tuesday I will try to get some photos. Maybe I will unearth a piece of inspiration!

You know Jean, the last year I substituted, the fifth graders were reading about a wagon train that was going out west in the 1800s. It told about a little girl who wrote comments about life, the long trip, etc. So I gathered all of my scrap booking papers, trims, etc and took them to school!
I even went to Wal-Mart and bought two more 12" x 12" tablets of paper. They made junk journals.
When it was over...I did not have much paper or anything else left!
But there were two boys and one girl who even added pictures of their families and friends. One little boys mom had prints made, then sat with him, talked to him about who was in the photos and how to put them in his book. He had a learning disability, but was so proud of his junk journal! I was proud of him and his mom too!

Woo Hoo -- We ended up with an uneven number of players, so I put myself on the list. I didn't get to play last time because of the uneven number. I'm so excited. Not only will I dig into the scrap basket, I'm gonna raid the button jars too . . . StitchinWitch . . . . your broom isn't fast enough. I've got you in my sights . . .

I emailed Joan for her mailing address!

Thanks Jean, for hosting a second scrap happy swap... I missed the first one after my dad passed away. Trying to get back into the swing of things again. :-)

OK. Jean wanted pictures of our stash. Well, here are a few pictures to show the enormity of it. There are fabrics sorted kinda by color or theme, there are tubs, half-finished UFOs, a 36"H x 28" square container and basket of selvages, another 36"H x 18" square rolling container of scraps, and part of my messy craft/quilting room. I'm sure I can find something to finish and/or make from scratch for Jill. Ya think??

I guess I need to go out and buy more fabric?

LOL! Judith - WOO HOO! I collect fabric, at least that's how I justify it. I'm really trying to finish and gift or donate UFOs and use up fabrics. PSSSSST - it isn't working very well. LOL!

The machine that is shown is 1 of my 2 featherweights in my mother's old featherweight table. I love the square table and the room around the machine when using it. I still have 20+ machines, but not a Model 15; I do want to sell a few of them. I have 2 Featherweights, 2 Singer 128 machines, 2 hand cranks, 2 treadles, a sears Kenmore, a Kimble (spelled wrong?), 2 Singer 301s - one with the table, a Singer 401 in cabinet, 4 child machines, a newer Janome, a vintage Singer pinker, a White, 2 more older but more modern Singers, and 2 Sergers - one brand new for Christmas.

Thank you for the package of goodies Marilyn! I plant to hang the banners and fabric ribbon, and will definitely use the shopping bag. I've put the bar towels in the kitchen and ordered my sweetie to use them. I will have the cocoa tonight before bed. The scrap with the bunnies and chick's is so cute, I will use it in a craft soon. My nose runs all winter, so I'll keep the bamboo tissues on hand when I don't have hankies.
You package with 3 swaps is on the way.

Vanessa, I forgot to include the teas, so I found the envelope today and perhaps it will leave in tomorrows mail. I've become very dependent on my husband for mailing letters, fabric envelopes, etc. He has not felt too good...so he has not been to town in three days.So I need gas in my car and perhaps I can go in the morning and get both taken care of.

I got an amazing package from Julie yesterday.

This apron is beautiful:

And look at all these other goodies:

There's a mugrug, bowl covers, little bags that had some goodies in them, some felt Easter goodies, and a wonderful little sewing caddy that has a pin cushion on the top and pockets on the bottom. There was also some thread and yarn in the bags. You can't see it very well in the picture but the one bag is little milk bottle hexis sewn with other fabric! I love it all Julie! What a fantastic package you sent me :) Thank you so much!!!!

My package for Jill is going out on Monday. This is a fun way to use what we have on hand to make something useful for a farm girl.
