My Husband has been on call - leaving at 2 AM to salt and plow the Town he works for. He does the Municipalities and small(Narrow roads and One way roads the big Plows can't get down.) It is a small town so there are only two guys in his Dept. so him and the other guy are on call every other week. The town he works for is about a 1/2 hour south east of us so he has to get up and get on the road about 45 min before the Highway guys are heading in. I feel so bad for him - he then works his regular day and is home at 5 to eat Dinner and go shovel out some of our neighbors and my mom and check in on my Aunt.
He is an amazing guy! Then In bed by 8 PM.
I Love him so much!!! I have been sharing all my tea from the tea Swaps with him - Now that he is getting to share in the bounty he is not shaking his head and laughing at me collecting so many teas! LOL

Iowa has had below zero temperatures for a week. We have 5 feet of snow all around our farm yard and can barely get in and out the driveway with 4 wheel drive truck. It is a rough winter for all. Stay safe.

Snowing, sleeting, snowing, sleeting all day. Ice under the snow, on top of the snow! Treacherous! Birds eating up a storm, LoL! Glad to feed the beauties! Now it’s snowing like crazy again! The phone just rang and it was a friend that used to live here. He is now rubbing it in to my husband that his weather is 78 in Florida! LoL! Tea either way, hot or cold!

Jean, I love the picture from your fridge! My hubby is so straight line in his thinking. Gardening cannot be done unless he has a string to follow so his lines are straight. He is or was a carpenter all of his life.
I am curvy. I love to use cattle panel hoops in the garden. I love curves in the landscape, etc.
In other words we are opposites.
He is so critical! Last night I made a meat loaf. When he left the table he said that was good...then he added that it would have been better the old fashioned way...no carrot shreds. I thought it was very tasty! (And in a couple of weeks, he will have meatloaf with carrot shreds again, because.I made it too big, cut it in half and froze the other ___uncooked____ half. Ha ha!
