Hubby & I are attempting this. We took our first hike on Monday to a waterfall 1-1/2 hours away.

This hike was an intermediate level. Lots of climbing over rocks to get there. A little of 3-1/2 miles round trip. I did ok but hubby was not pleased with the intensity level. I'll choose easier ones when he hikes with me from now on.

1 down - 51 to go!

Beautiful picture. I wish that I could get my husband to join our son and I when we go for walks. Keep hiking and enjoying your beautiful area.

Dianna, I just looked up that state park! Wish I had seen it sooner. I just booked a campground in Georgia not far from there for our trip next month. I will definitely keep it in mind for the future it looks beautiful

Hi Deb - Just checking in to see how your 52-hike challenge is going? Do you have anymore photos to share? Gives me some great ideas of places to visit next time we're back in the U.S.

That's really awesome! Can't get my hubby to hike. We did one a few years ago and all he could say was, "You hadn't better hike alone." So, I don't.

Good afternoon,

I am late coming to this thread.

I found out recently that the Apple watch has a notification on it for sudden falls. So, if you are hiking and you fall and can not get up it will try to call you and if you do not respond then it will call the local 911 and tell them where you are.

I have a hard time with people telling me "don't do it" but do not offer to come with me or accept and invitation to come when asked. The "don'ts" are so limiting even if that person wants the best for you.

Wow, this is new to me too. Deb your photo is beautiful for that water fall!! Dianna, this park you visited in Georgia is gorgeous too! Wow, I love the eastern part of the state by the NC border with all the water falls and gorgeous views. Next visit there, I will have to look this one up too.
