I had to get out the adult coloring books and color, I usually don't do that unless I need to calm down. Lets see- the covid, the election, we are on part lock down, Thanksgiving, christmas, can we even have them? BUT WAIT!!! I have a great family, all close by, a nice house, kids will go to the store and get us anything we want if we don't want to go, plenty of food, house is warm, and we aren't sick. I did leave out that my camera is broke so I can't post any pictures until I get a new one. Sooooo I will vote for try to think of all the good things. Im OK NOW.

Nancy Jo good to hear from you in the midst of all that's going on. I have missed your posts. Hope you get a new camera soon because I so enjoy seeing what you are doing around your home.

It's been quiet around my place so I have been able to work on wool applique project.

Ni Nancy - you are in good company... My family and I are feeling the same way, I think many are. We are trying to take one day at a time and count our blessings every day. Times are hard and life is definately different these days. I had to smile when you said you brought out your adult color books, earlier this week, I did the exact same thing... they are certainly calming. Take care of you and know your farmgirl friends are thinking of you! Big hugs!

Nancy,

So glad you are back! I think everything that is going around us is starting to get to everyone. Like you, I keep reminding myself of all the good things that I have right now and try to stay positive even though it's getting harder and harder to do.

sending you big hugs,
Marcy

Hang in there Nancy! Color away! Amazon sells cameras if there isn't one on your phone. We are isolating during the holidays this year so we can celebrate them next year. It may not be your favorite holiday season but it will definitely be one that is remembered.

We'll get through it Farmgirls . . . "they" may get us down but they won't get us out . . . especially not if we stick together and support each other through the rough spots.

Keep on coloring Nancy! There is nothing wrong with needing some way to get rid of stress. I have been trying to find some ways as well. Life is super crazy right now and the unknown makes it worse, but keep your head up and keep finding the positives! We will get through this as a whole. We need each and every one of us Farmgirls!

Nancy Jo...Hi Girl...We can ALL RELATE!!! I do Diamond Painting every night for an hour and a half before I go to bed.
I also listen to an Audio-Book at the same time. It all relaxes me and allows me to sleep like a baby at night. Also, I go
to my youngest sons house for dinner twice a week and play with my grandkids and enjoy Family. I will be going there
for Thanksgiving because we have the allowed 6 people in the Family. My youngest son in very vigelent about not
going into stores etc. So, we all feel very good that we can meet safely...just like we do twice per week. Plus I am a
Bible Study Teacher and I still hold my Womens Bible Study weekly over Zoom. So, I feel less isolated than most people.
We do our Church Service over The Computer each week...and so we are blessed that way too. It is a difficult time but
God is GOOD and FAITHFUL!!!

LOVE, HUGS AND JOY,
Peggy

Nancy,
It was like that in the beginning for me. I'll be open and honest here. I dealt with anxiety and depression a couple of times during this year. I was able to see my out of state family and that helped. In fact it was recommended to her by her dr to see family and friends. We attended in person services as soon as was allowed here. I go out shopping when necessary and I make sure to get out in the sunshine. Our mental health is just as important as the physical.

Nancy, I am joining in on the chorus from northern Florida. Things have been rough for us down here too and now things are getting worse again. 2020 has been such a trying and stressful year and hanging onto sanity has been a moving target at times. Like you, I find that doing simple tasks with my hands helps quiet my worries and pull down my fears. Walking in our city park has also become a daily way to help me get out and move. This park has been a part of my life for decades and I have walked her paths over and over again. It always helps me to get out and see what is happening with Mother Nature down here in the swamp. FAll unfolds very slowly and without much fuss in Florida, so walking every day helps me begin to look more closely and carefully at what changes. After completing the weather and tree badges this summer, I started keeping a monthly journal of what is happening in our yard, neighborhood and city park with flowers, trees, and birds. I also make notes of the weather changes and added the phases of the moon. One of the most exciting happenings now in our area are the arrival of migrating birds. We have seen many new friends come to our feeders the past few weeks too. Focusing on the natural world around me has been such a simple thing to do and I can learn more and focus on new things rather than what has been swirling around in the life of society. It has helped me so much and those little birds that come are just the sweetest and critters and so brave to fly so far. I love meeting them right in my backyard!

and don't forget, 'face time'.. I do it several times a week with my sister and that way I get to see my mom... mom lives with sis,, and my sis takes fabulous care of mom.
Mom is very limited in functioning.. but to see her laugh and smile is the Best!

Smiles and laughter are a great source of therapy..

Also,, turn on and crank up the radio,, put on your favorite station,, my hubby likes to listen to a combo of Country Western, and Rock from the 1970's..
for me,, it's Jazz, Classical and right now,, Christmas music..

"Dance like no one is watching" and Be Happy...
