Does anyone besides me have songs that stick to them for a day or so? Once I was in Goodwill, and the background song was "Rocky" (Rocky, I've never been in love before, don't know if I can do it...). That darn song stuck with me for a few days!
Today I have a cheerier one- "Seven Little girls sitting in the back seat." At least I can dance to it!

Vanessa, that happens to me alot. Especially when when shopping. Usually that last song I hear sticks with me a couple of days.

Who needs a radio?? I always have a song in my head; it usually changes from day to day and sometimes from hour to hour. Today it was 40s songs -- Look for the Silver Lining and I'm as Corny as Kansas in August.

I can hear a lot of songs in my head as if I am listening to them. But only horrible ones will not leave for days---the ones I hate---like YMCA from the seventies---oh just catchy things like that. Mostly horrid songs won't go out of my head---but I can think of a song and hear it to a T. I aam just overly sensitive to things for sure.

LOL.... We were watching "Frasier" repeats last week. It was the episode with the obnoxious upstairs neighbor who played loud rock music all the time. Daphne talked about a heavy metal song she got stuck in her head once: "Flesh is burning, na na na na NA na. Flesh is burning, na na na na NA na!" I couldn't kick it for days!

I'm with Judith! There's always something playing upstairs! LOL! And it's so funny because when things happen in life, the perfect song always comes to mind to complement the moments! It's like having a million perfect theme songs in my head!

Our son is moving out this weekend, and now things have come full circle: it's just me and my guy again, and our 32nd wedding anniversary is just a few days away. We've been together 35 years. I met him when I was just 19 years old. He said he knew I was the one the minute he saw me. How cool is that? He even told his buddy's Mom that very day that he met the woman he was going to marry! I've been reminiscing a lot, feeling all the emotions of all the years past; crying...laughing...crying a little more... remembering the ups, the downs, the challenges, the hurdles, the changes...the LOVE...the LAUGHTER! So thankful to still have my best friend walking beside me. So glad we stuck it out during the hard times; the times that almost broke us. The entire weekend Shania Twain's song, "You're Still The One" has been playing over and over and over in my head. I just can't shake it. Nor do I want to! It's US!

(When I first saw you, I saw love
And the first time you touched me, I felt love
And after all this time, you're still the one I love)

Looks like we made it
Look how far we've come, my baby
We mighta took the long way
We knew we'd get there someday

They said, "I bet they'll never make it"
But just look at us holding on
We're still together, still going strong

(You're still the one)
You're still the one I run to
The one that I belong to
You're still the one I want for life
(You're still the one)
You're still the one that I love
The only one I dream of
You're still the one I kiss good night

Ain't nothing better
We beat the odds together
I'm glad we didn't listen
Look at what we would be missing

They said, "I bet they'll never make it"
But just look at us holding on
We're still together still going strong

(You're still the one)
You're still the one I run to
The one that I belong to
You're still the one I want for life
(You're still the one)
You're still the one that I love
The only one I dream of
You're still the one I kiss good night

You're still the one

(You're still the one)
You're still the one I run to
The one that I belong to
You're still the one I want for life
(You're still the one)
You're still the one that I love
The only one I dream of
You're still the one I kiss good night

I'm so glad we made it
Look how far we've come, my baby

And you know what? It's the craziest thing.. After ALL these years.. It's so true... I still DREAM about him. No one but him. I think it must be love!

SO grateful for the theme songs in my head! And I don't mind hearing them repeatedly like broken records - not one bit! Eventually something different happens and a new one takes over! It's kind of neat always having a song in my heart!

Hugs and love -

Nini

Grace -- DH says it's too bad that I know the words to everything (before 1970) but can't carry a tune in a bucket so I only sing when I'm alone; the cats don't seem to mind. The ex once forbid me to sing in church :-)

Nini, you make me cry. Everyone doesn't get what you have! How beautifully said, my friend! God Bless you and Happy Anniversary! What doesn't break us makes us stronger! Praying for you always!

The songs that are in my head make me think I'm a teenager again. Then I think I can dance like I used to until I throw my back out! Yikes, ouch and then I remember how old I really am! LoL!

There is often a Beatles song rolling around in my head. Not sure why it's that group....just is.

Today it's "I Can't get no Satisfaction" and I'm not even a Stones fan. I wonder what a psychologist would make of it.

Good grief---today I have Miss You by The Rolling Stones in my head. Because I just had my 43 anniversary and that was the big hit then====getting old do get tedious. And Mick Jagger is 77 and he sure struts better than I do---LOL!
