Jill Skane, I received your package today. It is so pretty! Your ATCs are so well done. I love Hawaii.
When I was there in 1982, I wondered if it was like the garden of Eden. It was beautiful. I know it has been taken over by developers and tourists now...but back then it was a treasure.

Rebecca! I came home from work to find your amazing ATC package waiting for me! I absolutely love the two images you made! I always try to figure out how you do things, watercolor? stamping? collage? It's all here! These treasures feel like a get-away, and who doesn't need that right about now?! The bookmark is perfect and the note pad is adorable. And of course your sweet note tops it all off beautifully. Thank you so much!!

Bummed because I cant mow now, taking care of 15 acres is know?

Well Dianna, it must be time for you to slow down! I've always heard that God is a jealous God...
He does not like for us to get so busy that we kind of leave Him all alone for a little bit.
Soooo......When I get too busy, sometimes I end up broken.
I've had a broken left leg(1986),crushed left wrist(2003), a broken right e!how(about 8 years ago.) and I decided, when I broke the leg that God slowed me down...I was working two or sometimes three 'jobs'burning plenty of midnight oil.(but what an ordeal)...
The doctor would not even let me to go school for two weeks...Then I was allowed to teach in a wheel chair.first graders! It was fun...Every afternoon they would roll around in my wheel chair while I sat on the reading table. Only one real problem, the day we went to the big restroom, they were so good...but they did not realize I could not open the big door that led to the stalls, so I could get out... So I spent ten minutes...sitting there waiting for someone to realize my kids were sitting very nicely on the planter box wall all alone!
The elbow was the most painful, for the longest time...5 months.no cast. The doctor said elbows will freeze it they are cast!
I hope I entertained you just a bit!
Keep your arm up...take your pain meds, sleep...and in about three of four days the pain should subside. Then you will be able to gradually do more.
What color is your cast? Or do you need to wait until the swelling goes down.
Lime green ( it was early December) was the color I chose for the second cast, after about a week when the swelling went down..
Sara you are in for an adventure. (I had to go to the store and buy big stretchy skirts, and tee shirts to wear to work... After all they did not want me to show up in my gown!
Prayers that your pain and swelling will be minimal. Have you told your hubby?

Oh MARILYN!!!!! Ypuve been through it all havent you!! I found a LOT of encouragement in your 'testimony'! It couldnt have been easy at all! Yes, I believe I needed to slow down! 15 acre yard to mow and weedear, and garden and take care of Sara and I. Yes, I needed to give up something. Thank you so much Marilyn for this! All things happen for a reason!! Sara is already helping a lot, lol. But right now shes all about that sweet 16 birthday coming up!! ;)

When is Sara turning 16? I n remember sweet 16 so well. My mother took our family out to eat. We never did that so it was special! After our fried chicken dinner a waitress, brought a tall white cake to our table. It had big pink roses on it... What a special evening! And such a special memory.

Thank you so much Dianna. This is so much fun. My sister, Mom and I were having a Zoom meeting and the parrot "flew" through the screen. Nancy laughed so hard. It was great.

Breaks are no fun, I am so sorry to hear about your arm Dianna, take it easy!
Marilyn you have gone through so much, you take it easy as well. Bones are no fun!
Every one of the ATC's are so nice and so different, I am happy how mine turned out and the mail is very slow now days.

  Jill, I got your goodies and ATC card. Wonderful surprises in my mail. What do you mean, he is not cute... I think he is adorable and I did fasten him to the card. Thanks for the cool sunglasses, and the mask and the cookies, ( they did not last) and the pretty ribbon that you tied the package up with, It is already being recycled into some art journaling.
